Hiding the little devil

How do I best disguise and/or hide my imp familiar as a 12th-level Remaster witch so that I don't get burned at the stake by association?

Bonus points if you can find an effective way to disguise him as a cat (I like cats).

Find a dead but intact cat, eviscerate it, stuff imp inside, sew shut.

The new baleful polymorph! (Has some undesirable side effects)

Use master's form as a catfolk witch

“Hiding the little devil” sounds like a Chelaxian innuendo.

A very good hat

It's probably easier just to start with a living cat than it is to find a dead but intact one. ;)

Noooooooooooooooo!

Like RD, I like (living) cats. :-P

I like them both alive and dead. (They're fluffy AND delicious!)

Option A (Hide): If not thoroughly searched: Sleeves of Storage (s. https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=745), provided the (APG-)Item or an equivalent one survives remaster to Player Core 2.

Option B (Magical Disguise): Familiar Ability "Spellcasting" > Illusory Disguise.
Let it solve the Problem on it's own. :-) With Rank I, it's confined to " same body shape". Personally I'd say that would prevent a convincing cat, yet; a humanoid with tail like earthly monkeys should work fine, IMHO.

Once your Witch is Lvl 15 and your Imp can prepare Rank 3 spells, Illusory Disguise 3 ("any creature of the same size") should definitely allow any tiny cat you want.

Option C (Mundane Disguise): More Brazen, but less vulnerable to Detection:

Skill Deception > Impersonate: Let it simply set up a disguise as a cat via mundane means.

Now, I haven't seen a clause preventing different body shapes besides an indirect reference ("any circumstance penalties the target might take") from Illusory Disguise Description, yet. Please s.o. help me if it's somewhere around.

Personally, I'd say that the Disguise approach could work for appearance, maybe even touch (ah, cat fur!). I'm not sure, whether it will be enough to show typical cat behaviour (e.g. climbing objects - unless your Imp has "Climber" as well - or even running around in a cat-like manner). But if it just has to sit on your shoulder and pose as one? Why not?

Amurrun makeup plus familiar satchel equals interesting exhibit.

Liberty's Edge

Keep it secret. Keep it safe.

Liberty's Edge

Have it disguise itself as an Angel with feline features.

I'm not suggesting that anyone should do that. Just pointing out that it would, in fact, be easier. (Then again, if someone's familiar is an Imp, I suspect they have performed more heinous acts.)
