Howdy
Is anyone aware of any sonic based sniper rifles somewhere?
The main reason I am asking this is because the Resonating Biohack Alternate class feature specifically offers SONIC sniper rifles as a profiency choice.... but I realized today there is none. Maybe its future proofing? Or mayhap they intended to be heavy? the latter would've been neat. but also would be a bit messy as far as biohack applciations go.

Unless a sonic-based sniper rifle appears in the last 2 APs there's no more future left to future-proof it before SF2e. The workaround is to use the new scaling weapons system in Starfinder Enhanced.
I heavy Boihacker weapon would be interesting if you wanted to use all your biohacks at one time for an area of effect, Or to make one big bio hack to use against a gargantuan creature. but currently, there are no heavy weapons with injection or sonic either.

Yeah that is the standard to slap a scope on of course.
I wonder if mayhap they intended heavy not sniper. Though this came out what January was intersteller? So not a lot of time for a future proof option. Wonder what happened or what changed overall.
Honestly if sniper or heavy was a choice. I'd chose that instead of the current options and be pretty happy. Even if the heavy wouldn't apply the biohack. Having that option would be nice for aoe to have. But thats my biohacker preference on being a multiple variable character
very strange to give proficiency in nothing.

I remain shocked and indignant that, while we have a heavy weapon called the Dart Cannon, it cannot be used by biohackers to inject every ally/enemy in an area :C

Yeah. I love enhanced's new biohacker stuff! Very enjoyable stuff.
Lv 8 one competes with teh 2d6 acid damage too. So many good ones post 8 that I wish started at 6.
Yeah custom weapons would be neat when allowed. Some fun weird ideas.
Enhanced's aoe smoke biohacker application (non damaging only) is neat. Though I was hoping for a needle bomb.. because thats horrifyingly great visuals.
