Could a Kineticist take Magus Dedication (or a Magus take Kineticist Dedication) and find a useful synergy between the two class's powers? Perhaps by using Elemental Blast in a Spellstrike?

Impulses are not spells. It will not work with Spellstrike.

I was afraid of that.

I feel it was the price to pay to get such a great varied yet balanced class. It lives in its own little world of mechanics, with as little interactions as possible with other mechanics such as spells.

New Magus feat for a future book.

There is also some anti-synergy with the Impulse stances. Not that Arcane Cascade is valued very highly on these boards.

If you would allow Impulses ad 'spells' for spellstrike though, it would probably end up to be mostly within Balance

Many Impulses reguläre themselves with overflow or having straight up more actions needed

The second group of Impulses would need expanded spellstrike which would also Delivery little Advantage for most Players (starlit Span Impulses would be mean though)

And If you decide to use the Basic blast as 'cantrip' (lets say the 2 Action Version) you would end up roughly ob the Level of a cantrip (5d8+ instead of 11d4+)

There are few Impulses which are just single target Attack roll, so I would almost tend to allow it in my games
