Can eidolons treat wounds ?

Rules Discussion

Did we ever get any clarification if eidolons could use skills actions which they are proficient in (treat wounds, pick locks, crafting/repair) but that require tools ?

Could an eidolon with battle medicine feat use it?

We still don't have such clarification. We are hoping that Paizo can put some errata about this in a mid-year errata or something like this.

It says your eidolon shares your skill proficiencies but I can't find anything saying they share your skill feats. Does any eidolon have the battle medicine feat?

If not, and if there's nothing saying they share your skill feats somewhere I'm missing, I'd say no they can't use battle medicine

As for everything else, keep in mind they manifest with no possessions so they'd have to pick up any kits or tools you want them to use. Other than that I can't think of any reason they can't use skills actions you're both proficient in. I'm sure someone will rush in here to quote the "gear and your eidolon" bit out of context saying they can't use anything w/o the eidolon trait tho, and the bullet point about item bonuses to Perception and skills could be read pedantically to mean they don't gain item bonuses to skills from master kits since they're not "magical items that you have invested," so only base kits for them if your GM sees it that way

There's Skilled Partner.

Quote:
Your eidolon gains a 1st-level skill feat and a 2nd-level or lower skill feat. At 7th level, your eidolon gains an additional skill feat, of 7th level or lower.

And the Eidolon shares the summoner skill proficiencies.

So, on the one hand we have no clarification, and on the other hand a feat that allows the eidolon to get lvl 1, 2 and 7 skill feats, without any limit.

I think it can be either one or the other, but still no clarification.

Eidolons do not share the skill feats of the Summoner. They have to get their own from Skilled Partner.

And if it is intended that Eidolons cannot use mundane toolkits in order to use those skill feats, then that should be mentioned in Skilled Partner to warn people who are taking that feat and expecting things to work as advertised.

But no, there has been no official clarification in either direction.
