Using Advanced Alchemy to produce non-consumable Alchemical Items

Rules Discussion

I was reading Quick Alchemy and Advanced Alchemy, and I realized that Quick Alchemy limits the items you create to Consumables, when Advanced Alchemy doesn't. So, per strict RAW, it seems that you can create Alchemical Crossbows and other permanent Alchemical Items for the day.
What have I missed?

Maybe nothing? They'd only remain usable for one day. Lord knows the alchemist could use the boost.

But probably you missed something.

I agree that it doesn't break the game, but it seems rather strange.

Honestly I wish we could lean into that more. Make it a research field even that blurs the line between alchemist and inventor.

I agree, strict RAW there is nothings that prevents an alchemist from using Advanced Alchemy to make permanent Alchemical items for a day.

RAI, I think it is clear that the intent is to make consumables only. I don't think I would allow my alchemist PC to craft Ooze skin or Power Armor every day.

Being honest I never accepted too well the concept of Infused Reagents that comes from nowhere. So I just try to abstract it a treat everything like some kind of pseudo-magical abilities like Full Metal Alchemist. (clap your hands and create something from the ground :P)

So I try to abstract this too.
