Can someone guide me while I build my first character?

I don't know if I'm understanding Pathfinder 2 enough. I'm not confident I know what I'm doing and I don't have anyone to talk to about my character builds.

I'm a lifetime DM, but I don't know how to course correct a player if I don't know if I'm building s character right.

I really just wanna build a wizard. Be because it covers some martial and magical features.

Probably best if you present your end goal and what you've built first so we can heartlessly tear it apart while fighting each other on specifics and obscure interactions.

sadly the most martial thing wizard can do are things like weapon storm and hand of apprentice

wizard require a extremely high understanding of the arcane spell list

not easy for beginner

magic weapon are very good at level 1
