Silver Crusade

Somebody give me a character concept and I'll throw together a level 20 build for it in Pathbuilder.

I'd be interested in a Tiny sized ancestry character that transforms into large+ forms as a primary means of combat. Bonus points for damage dealing effectiveness, but combat maneuvers are good too. More bonus points for having a pet that can also transform from small or tiny along with them. Free archetype.

I call it "the Surprise Problem"

A young Dryad who had to pack up their tree into a large pot because the land it was on was inhospitable and the tree was dying there. They now cart the potted tree around in a small hand wagon and suffer with lethargy and ennui from the strain of having their tree in such a sad state.

This is gonna be tough. I only see 1 tiny ancestry and it has a strength penalty.

I have an idea for this. It might require some hand-waving or role-playing but it should be fun.

Ok here is your dryad.

I went with Ghoran ancestry so immediately it's gonna be an "ask your DM" situation. Which is great, because I figured a leshy familiar was perfect, but those are usually reserved for druids. Maybe insteads of uprooting her tree, her tree couldn't be saved, so she took an acorn/cutting from it and planted it to lug around and now she's as much protecting it as it is her.

The Toy Poppet can also be tiny!

Don’t forget, you can take 2 additional voluntary flaws to get a bump. This helps ancestries with ability flaws get an 18 in their primary attributes.

An ordinary man. A reluctant summoner that desperately wants a mundane life but is dragged into the plot and danger by their eccentric eidolon. Dragon fits nicely.

A LG blaster cleric of Ragathiel. Embodying the domain of destruction and holy vengeance. Harm blasters are overlooked honestly. Definitely underrated.

It's Bigdaddyjug's thread so I won't post anything. But since Secrets of Magic, Harm blasters are much more playable. I'm playing with one in PFS (but just level 5 so I'm starting to play it as intended).

If you have a build, go ahead and post it. I'm still working on the tiny character from the first response lol.

An Eidolon can do that fairly easily with Miniaturize and Hulking Size. Both can be gotten by level 10.

Getting an actual character able to do that normally is a bit harder. At least not without spending spell slots for the trick. A Sprite Druid(Wild) maybe?

Does a Giant Instinct tiny ancestry not count? Giant's Stature comes online at level 6 iirc and works even at tiny or small.

If you want any more - what about trying to represent a person who is swayed by both good and evil urges (angel and devil on shoulder situation).

Trying to show this as characterfully as possible through a build might be fun.

Assimar summoner with a demon eidolon or vice versa with a tiefling/angel.
