Good class / build for a Ganzi which uses it's Tail?

Advice

Horizon Hunters

So basically I like the ganzi heritage, their tails look awesome and their lore as the scions of pure raw chaos is great as well.

But I can't device a nice build which uses their tails leaving it as a purely cosmetic choice x.xU

So... Any ideas? So far I'd like to create a thaumaturge and apparently a natural unharmed attack is good for them but I'm not familiar at all with the class so I'd like some ideas

Honestly. I don't see any. This tail is a 1d6 sweep. I don't see much effectivess using it. You probably will stay in a similar situation of fox fire where many players want to use but it's just too weak to be used.

Maybe can be useful as melee secondary weapon for 2H ranged Gunslinger.

As far as a natural weapon... It's pretty meh... There are several ancestries/heritages/feats that allow for a 1d8 unarmed attack or a much more varied set of traits on a lower die. And sweep isn't too exciting as it requires you to attack different targets to work and you don't want to do that unless your 1st target is dead.

Now if you stick it out until 13th and take the 3 feats Mischievous Tail [13th level], Skillful Tail [5th level] and Smashing Tail [1st] you can add the disarm and trip traits to the tail attack and that adds the weapon's item bonus to attack rolls (if any) as an item bonus to the Athletics check for those rolls. IMO, it's far too long to wait for the payout but if you start play at 13th+ level it's an option.

What about doing a monk and playing the tail as generic unarmed attack depends the stance?

You won't be using the tail stats, but you'll play that your character uses their tail to strike down enemies depends the stance you choose.

Or even a rogue with martial artist ( or monk ) dedication.

ps: getting either skillful and larcenous tail would also allow you to do some extra flavored roleplay.

Thaumaturge adds a lot of flat damage to one-handed stuff, so ranged unarmed attacks like Foxfire and Energy Beam for some distance can be nice. The tail is melee, which is considerably riskier, and it's Strength-based which is more of a pinch on ability scores. But hey, it'll deal yet more damage than those. You could use Sweep once in a blue moon with that one feat which spreads Exploit Weakness. And you could use a buckler, at least? Or maybe hold a full shield if it can count as an implement, I'm not read up on that.

It's not much of a "build", you might want an archetype to raise defenses or something. But I think the tail would be acceptable if you can get your stats where you want them.
