I have a life oracle in Extinction Curse that's very prone to almost dying. So I figure I should have a backup in mind in case things go south. The party is currently level 7 with free archetype. The party is:
Myself, a human aasimar life oracle with medic archetype.
An azarketi shark barbarian with wrestler archetype. Currently our biggest damage dealer and can take it just as well. Has natural medicine to help with out of combat healing.
A human eldritch trickster, shadow sorcerer archetype. Primary face of the group, but struggles to set up sneak attack in combat.
A human aasimar angel summoner with acrobat archetype. A bit of a jack of all trades, with some damage, social skills, and healing.
A fleshwarp universalist wizard, alchemist archetype. Almost exclusively casts buff and debuff spells, uses alchemy for buffs and healing.
I'm down to play almost anything, but I think I'd like to avoid having healing as my main shtick again.

The obvious answers that are almost always true for this question are fighter and bard.
Given that you already have a barbarian, rogue and eidolon in the front, I'd go with the bard here. I'd also convince the rogue to retrain into dread striker if the bard comes into play so that they never need to worry about setting up sneak attack again with dirge support.
Fighter will add more raw damage if your party has issues closing out fights to begin with. Given that you'll be down a primary healer, gong for a straight dpt race with the enemy can be riskier especially with the lower overall optimization in the group.

Thanks for the tips! Between this and the reddit thread I made, the general consensus seems to be that the party needs someone who can tank hits while also supplying a good amount of damage as well. So I'm between two similar concepts right now, a fighter with champion archetype or a paladin, both taking shield ally. Probably strength based with a warhammer, asp coil, or flickmace (depending how much cheese I'm craving), but maybe a dex based one with a dagger, starknife, or dagger pistol. I do like the bard ideas, so if I go full champion I might multiclass into it.

I guess the animal barbarian is going to be a tough one ( and by lvl 8 with renewed vigor, even more ) because of the given rage resistances.
What about the eldritch trickster?
Do they fight melee to benefit from the flat footed condition or stay back?
Angel Summoner and wizard ( also trickster is in the back ) can deal with damagethemselves by being in the back ( + supportive stuff. For example, the summoner with fast healing on the eidolon + protect companion and other stuff is going to withstand damage i), so if this just leave the barbarian ( and eidolon ) within the melee reach... I think you can play anything you want.
A witch ( or the witch dedication ) would imo fit perfectly with the animal barbarian ( like boost + rage DR + renewed vigor = gg ), and you'll be able to get any tradition you like ( you might also consider getting the bard dedication if you like it ).
ps: A champion/bard with the free archetype is always good ( especially with a barbarian next to them ), obviously :D
