Trailer. The show launches on 24 March.
Visually very impressive, although naturally there is already moaning because 1) the show takes place in its own timeline, not the games', and 2) Cortana isn't as blue and glitchy as she was in a 2001 video game released on the OG Xbox.
It does look like they have taken advantage of the change in format to have a larger ensemble cast, and the storyline for Season 1 is "the search for Halo," other than it being something that only came up during the Fall of Reach (they seem to be skipping the Fall, at least for now, possibly because they couldn't afford it in Season 1).
The visuals look impressive, the Spartan suits look dead-on and the little we see of the Covenant looks excellent. No sign of Halo itself, but I suspect it won't show up until the end of the season.

Okay, having watched it, no that was not Steve Downes as the voice of the Master Chief. Which is a little disappointing given that Jen Taylor is Cortana. Would have been nice to have them both
They have already said we will get to see Master Chief's face in this so they had to hire an age-suitable actor (Pablo Schreiber from THE WIRE and AMERICAN GODS). Steve Downes is a great voice actor but he's also 71, so clearly is not going to be suitable for playing the live-action role.
Werthead, glitchy blue Cortana was the look from Halo 2 onward. Combat Evolved Cortana was purple.
She's definitely blue in the Master Chief Collection remaster (I just replayed it a few months ago).

Downes dubbing the voice and the other actor playing him without the helmet wouldn’t be all that different than say… David Prowse, Sebastian Shaw and James Earl Jones all playing Darth Vader.
As for Cortana the 2014 remaster did indeed turn her blue, but in 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved Cortana was purple.
