Howdy!
I'm curious. How many folks have made use of the tool options?
i.e. the Scrolls per day feat line, the Talisman feat line.
Has anyone tried pairing with Alchemist dedications, snare specialists, or other options?
I'm curious if they can rock enough of the toolkit stuff, while still being good damage. I feel like having that support or options would help. When I was playing Thaumas I really feel like I lack interesting tools, or not "smash face" options.
but I havent played high enough to try any of the interesting toolkit options.

Since my table usually plays free archetype (not for the playtest, I've bee insistant that it's a RAW, no houserules test), I really want to play a thaumaturge/FA alchemist, take as much of the free item feats as possible, and just have tons and tons of tools. It'll probs be my go to; atm, my go to class is alchemist or alchemical sciences investigator
In peticular, I really wanted to use those free slots to quick bomb with persistent damage weapons for my "ouch" options, and have a bunch of neat options to hand out to the party

Yeah. Alchemist dip is really appealing to me. not all bombs have persistent damage, but if you happen to know the right one for the enemy weakness. Thats ar eally fun choice.
although Antithesis works on weapons and bombs are weapons. I wonder if the create weakness version of that bomb effect would still work on persistent damage..
I love all the alch tools.
Snare crafter I think is one I would really like to have but that is an ingeneral thing probably.

Oh yeah, bombs are def weapons. My thought was to have quick bomb to toss some persistent custom weakness procing with my open hand, probably using a wand to get some sweet "single strike followed by a save" action that I do with my alchemist to avoid MAP, probably take a valet familiar so make use of scrolls and such easier

I tried, but it felt really hampered by the drawing/stowing action economy that the class only sometimes gets to ignore. Like it can swap Implements as a free action, but can't draw them as a free action, so if I use a scroll, I have to stow my Implement, draw the scroll, then draw the Implement after casting from the scroll for a total of three actions.
I think there's also a way to fix this while clearing up weirdness and confusion, as I've detailed here.

That does make me wish Call Implelment was a reaction thingy. If you aren't using the Amulet you don't have a lot of competition for that every round. ...
So it would be cool method to work with stuff being able to drop and go.
Snares and talismen seem most apt I guess. As there aren't in any battle economy but when you have it you'll be very happy to have it.
