Which makes a better dip? Okayo Corsair or Battle dancer?

Advice

Silver Crusade

Im working on a charisma heavy unarmed combatant with a dip in either one of these before moving on to scaled fist unchained monk.

But i can't decide between these 2 or know if theres a better option. Can someone help me out?

Consider an Iroran/Enlightened Paladin. You won't even need Scaled Monk.

I have considered it, but part of this character is to worship a certain empyreal lord, and while nothing about the iroran paladin specifically states you HAVE to worship irori, i find it would likely be weird if you didn't

Few points you may need to note with battle dancer (assuming 4-level dip to get the CHA dodge and flanking fun):
1) brawler and monk unarmed damage don't stack RAW, and scaled fist loses still mind, so is not eligible for monastic legacy

2) brawler uses chained rules for rolling flurry, so you'll have to keep track of 2 different flurry rulesets

Okayo corsair seems better for a Dex build, but the dragon style feats benefit Str builds more. Granted, if you've got both covered, the option to finesse the monk weapons and the 1st level deeds are nice. And this is only a 1 level dip, so not too shabby.

BattleDancer doesn’t lend itself to dips very well… unless you intend to supplement the lost progressions for brawlers flurry with spending feats on improved & greater TWF (which is a valid option since brawlers flurry does infact grant you the TWF feat, though it is only usable during the brawlers flurry action)…. And it is worth noting that brawlers flurry and monks flurry are NOT the same abilities… you can’t gain the benefits of rolling flurry while performing a monks flurry of blows.

So for that reason, I would say the Okayo Corsair is a better dip…
