Mystic past life Samsarans Magus Advice

Advice

Let's say my characte has 16 INt

What are some good options for a range magus (Eldritch Archer)
To take for Mystic past life?

Be warned, MPL is often regarded as cheese.

Anyway, first you need to pick one class you'll be stealing from. Bard has some healing and buffing spells you might like, or wizard is the way to get new and better blasting spells.

Also is this the level 7 thing you've been checking out every option under the sun for?

If you're using ranged magus, just be sure to pick up the Reach Spellstrike Arcana at lvl 9. Then your options will open up a bit.

Spell choice for MPL is also dependent on what type of spells with what weapons are you looking to use.

If you're delivering buff spells at a distance, use blowguns, light wrist launchers or slings with little starstone ammo, grab spells from Bard list primarily or Chained Summoner for early buff spells.

Debuffs: grab from Witch or Sorcerer/Wizard list and grab a weapon of your choice.

CC effects: Bard for their enchantments/illusions, Sorcerer/Wizard for more choice, or Witch for access to some later entangle spells.

Damage: Sorcerer/Wizard.

I usually go for the heal/debuff route, and for melee I use a mix of Inflict/Cure Wounds from Witch list (which could be used with Reach Spellstrike), then take the remainder of spells in some higher levels (like Thorny Entanglement [3rd level spell], or Poison [4th level spell].)

Spell Combat with Spellstrike, or even with Ranged Spell Combat/Spellstrike, give abilty to deliver beneficial effects while still contributing to the combat, provided you utilize different ammo for niche situations.

Side note: I also like adding Hexcrafter archetype when possible, because [Curse] descriptor spells are added to selectable spells and sniping someone with a Bestow Curse is hysterical.

ummm, the best thing to do is to ditch Magus and take Wizard with INT 18-20. Pull from the Witch's list at spell levels: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 1st, 2nd.

If you really want to play a Magus you'll need touch spells and again, be a wizard diviner for surprise rounds & bonded obj or arcanist & scan the witch's list for debuffs, then at second level go into Magus.
Cure Light Wounds is probably the exception to the rule as it's a universal healing spell in wands so practicality shoves it to the forefront.
My advice in 2017.
