The Flying Scorpion Chimpanzee

Homebrew and House Rules

So in the first chapter of my game my players are taking down and half fiend alchemist that specializes in flesh warping. His stick is making unique monsters and letting them lose to wreck havoc. Here are the foot soldiers I came up with blending a cave scorpion with a chimpanzee and giving it wings.

Flying Scorpion chimpanzee
CR 3 XP 800
NE Medium Aberration
Int +6 senses: Tremorsense 60 ft., Darkvison 60 ft., Perception +14

Defense
AC 19, touch 16, flat footed 13 (+6 Dex, +3 Natural)
HP 19 (3d8+6)
Fort +5 Reflex + 9 Will +4
Defensive ability: Fast healing 5

Offensive
Speed 30 ft., fly 60 ft., climb 40 ft.
Melee Sting +4 (1d4+2 plus poison), 2 pincers +4 (1d4+2)
Special attacks: Rend 2d4+2

Statistics
Str 15 Dex 23 Con 24 Int 2 Wis 16 Cha 11
BAB +2 CMB +4 CMD 20
Feats: Great Fortitude, Skill Focus Perception, Flyby attack, Multiattack
Skills fly +10, Perception +14, stealth 10 (in caves 22)

Special abilities
Sting—injury; save Fort DC 12; frequency 1/round for 4 rounds; effect 1d2 Str; cure 1 save.

Multiattack is a wasted feat with no secondary attacks, but you're over budget on feats anyway, just delete it. One bonus feat is fine. Con 24 looks like a typo too - Con 14?

The attack bonus is low enough that if the PCs are of a level where they're fighting lots of these at once the FSCs may need high numbers to hit - maybe 20s on a character who's put work into their AC? The rend seems unlikely to come up much. Weapon finesse in place of one of their feats would make a lot of sense.

Con 24 is definitely a typo lol will fix that.

Made it a CR 3 cause I built the advanced template in on the splice of 2 cr 1 creatures. Probably replace multi with weapon fin and drop great Fortitude all together

Comparing to other CR 3 monsters you should probably have 4HD not just 3.

Because these are meant to be fought in groups of 2-12 im ok with 3 to balance the fast healing

Your bad guy is probably over budget on controlling his creations. Because of the scorpion DNA they stand a chance of turning on each other.

As a unique creature they see each other as troops but when denied food will definitely cannibal each other.
