Help with Roleplay Backstory and Any Build Tips - Child of Acavna and Amaznen Fighter

Advice

I could use some ideas/suggestions to round out my next character's backstory. I'm building a Fighter, Child of Acavna and Amaznen (Spellcaster) Archetype.

I saw on Pathfinder Wiki the image of Acavna and noticed she used a spear and focuses on defensive battle. Amaznen focuses on invention and magic. Putting these together, I've built a reach fighter, using a long spear, who also has craft magic weapons/armor, and maxes Spellcraft. The archetype makes using self-enlarge person very easy and viable.

My problem is developing an explanation for following these long-dead gods? Or why this character would do this? I'm drawing a blank and could use some creativity. I thought at first maybe a super inquisitive magic blacksmith - but it just wasn't clicking.

Anyone have any roleplay/backstory thoughts or suggestions to justify this niche archetype?

Also, build below if you have any suggestions/tips:

I don't think the Child of War Fighter is proficient with 2H weapons... so reach would entail using a whip. Looks like I was mistaken... they just don't get 2H martial weapons... Longspear is good to go. Lol.

If VMC is allowed, then VMC Magus isn't a bad option. Witch and Wizard make decent VMC options, as well. Alchemist, not so much... poison use late in the game is a trap/waste.

Don't forget about Flickering Step/Dimensional Savant... because teleport pounce is cool...

The CAA is proficient with simple 2H weapons, so a longspear works. Though using a simple weapon makes the comparison with say a crusader cleric kind of embarrassing.

Anyway, pushing assault is a feat you may want some time given the focus on reach tactics.

Background-wise using a longspear suggests that you started in some sort of militia or levy, or if that's actually a boarding pike maybe as a sailor. Perhaps you picked up some spellbook or similar on the battlefield (whether from a dead ally or a fallen enemy) and slowly taught yourself a little magic and the prayers from that book. Or maybe it was in a lost cache that you discovered, or perhaps you were on the wrong end of a losing battle and nursed back to health by someone who followed the old gods.
