A greatsword does 1d10 when small yes. That's the standard relationship to a 2d6 damage at medium.
An orc hornbow does 1d8 when small (there's at least one melee weapon which does the same decrease from 2d6 at medium - the dwarven giant-sticker) which means 1d6 when tiny. I don't know why, it could be an oversight in both cases. It's not obviously a ranged weapon thing.

The RAW is perfectly clear - a small Orc Hornbow does 1d8 damage, therefore a tiny one does 1d6.
However, there just two weapons in the game* where the damage difference between small and medium doesn't follow the regular progression, the Orc Hornbow and the Dwarven Giant-sticker. As a GM i'd change those to 1d10 damage for small (and thus 1d8 for tiny), as I presume them to be unintended mistakes.
*) Regular weapons. There're five early two-handed firearms breaking the progression.

Hornbow $130 exotic ranged composite bow, tiny(nl), small(1d8P), medium(2d6P), large(nl), crit:*3, Rng:80 ft. matl:horn.
Table 6-5 Weapon Damage. According to the table it is based on medium sz, thus tiny(1d8), large(3d6). Yes, the Hornbow has clearly been *tweaked* and the table is what it is.
Table Weapon Damage Size Conversion{as AoN is being difficult}. According to this table which uses various sizes, small(1d8) becomes tiny(1d6). That's more sensible in that it scales down.
I think the issue is more the two charts or lack of instructions with the first. The orc hornbow was all about trading some range for massive damage as orcs ya know. Clearly a bit of power c̶r̶e̶e̶p̶ sprint. If the intent was to up the damage class by one, then the progression should be 1d6 1d8 1d10 2d8 3d8 (as noted above). For a feat (Exotic Wpn Prof with Hornbow) getting 1 sz category better in damage is optimal, and for a ranged weapon it's fantastic.
