Investigator - Archaeologist Methodology?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Do you think this concept has legs? Lots of setting-specific Lore training, maybe some emphasis on trapfinding.

There are a few archetypes that focus on archeology if I recall correctly.

So I would say that the concept of such a character is already in game since the exact purpose of Archetypes is to tailor a character to a concept.

Yeah, there is the Archaelogist archetype.

If it gives you proficiency in guns and whips. Yes.

As a fan of the PF1 Occultist and currently playing an Investigator, I've recently had the thought that an archeology based magical/casting subclass on the Investigator would be cool. But this is coming from someone who obsesses over their niche penchants, so I could probably tack on Occultist to anything and my imagination would make it work.
