Hi everyone,
as title says, will we seen a Thunder and Fang Shoanti archetype?
In my opinion it will be very cool, i've always loved the Shoanti theme and in general all the combat-styles (divine combat style if I remember correctly) Paizo has come up in Pathfinder first edition (ie: sword and tankard).
What do you think?
Marco.

Maybe, but I suspect it would come with damage dice being reduced on the Earth Breaker to put it in line with any one handed weapon.
Of course, we don't currently have the earth breaker or klar as 2e weaopns yet, but I suspect that whenever we get them it will also include the fighting style. Possibly as an archtype.

Thunder and Fang was just a single standalone feat, right? I don't know that there is enough to warrant an archetype there, like there might be for a Shoanti Burn Rider by comparison.
Instead I'd bet that it is an ancestry feat that lets you use a maul and spiked shield at the same time for reduced damage dice (effectively making it the hammer equivalent of the dwarven war axe) or they will make new weapons specifically for the earth breaker and klar that work together. As Claxon pointed out, I certainly don't think they will let you have a d12 weapon dual wielded.

I mean, in PF1 it was only a feat. But I think it could thematically be served by being an archetype as it was pretty popular.
But yeah, I think the best you're looking at is basically having it function like a warhammer if it's a martial weapon, and if it's advanced it might get some nice traits but still probably be limited to 1d8.
Thinking on it further...I think an advanced 1 handed weapon with Two-Hand d10/12 trait, Shove, Uncommon, & maybe a culture specific trait (not sure if such a thing already exist but like Mwangi instead of Dwarf trait).
And then probably an archetype that lets you pick one up (essentially negating the uncommon trait) and letting it advance in proficiency as whatever your best proficiency advancement routine is for martial weapons.

It's also worth noting, I'm pretty sure that Advanced Weapon Training feat is only to fighters...and I don't want this fighting style to be restricted to fighters.
I would honestly expect to see more rangers and barbarians in the Mwangi expanse than fighters.
While I do agree that there are indeed likely to be more rangers and barbarians in the Mwangi than fighters, Shoanti are from Varisia. Though the Shoanti are probably also more likely to be rangers and barbarians, so I guess it works either way =P

You know what, for some reason I thought Shoanti where from the Mwangi Expanse and I don't know why I had that confusion.
I mostly just know it was popular in PF1, but I don't think I played a PF1 game where anyone used it or where the Shoanti people were very important to one of the campaigns I played (which isn't to say they weren't there necessarily but simply that I don't remember them being important).
Thanks for the correction.
