Virtuosic Performer & Versatile Performance

Advice

What would be the best performance, for a 2 handed weapon character, to benefit from the bonus in all of the 3 skills ( impersonate, demoralize and make an impression )?

Quote:

Acting > Drama, pantomime, puppetry

Comedy > Buffoonery, joke telling, limericks
Dance > Ballet, huara, jig, macru
Keyboards >Harpsichord, organ, piano
Oratory >Epic, ode, poetry, storytelling
Percussion >Chimes, drum, gong, xylophone
Singing >Ballad, chant, melody, rhyming
Strings >Fiddle, harp, lute, viol
Winds >>Bagpipe, flute, recorder, trumpet

is it right to assume that the best ( not to say the only one ) one is Acting?

Act to impersonate is somehow basic
Act to demoralize ( pantomime might come in handy when it comes to intimidating glare, since it uses the visual trait instead of the auditory ) would do the same.
Act to make an impression?

Or maybe I am just overthinking it.
After all it's just a feat which allows you to use one skill instead of 3 to either perform specific checks ( but not all checks related to the 3 skills ) and unlock specific feats ( tied to those 3 specific checks ).

...

Also, is there an item which gives +3 performance, isn't it?
Couldn't find anything past +2 ( Greater persona Mask or Greater dancing Scarf ).

...

Ok I didn't properly read the feat

You can use Performance instead of Diplomacy to Make an Impression and instead of Intimidation to Demoralize. You can also use an acting Performance instead of Deception to Impersonate.

Impression/Demoralize > Anything

Impersonate > Acting

So Acting is the only one available.

90% of the power the feat has comes from demoralize, and only there you will need the bonus as it is the only one that really scales (not saying you can't make an impression on a high level creature, just that it is not something very common) so I don't think it really matters that much.

But yeah, only acting covers all of them.

It annoys the heck out of me, but yeah, only acting gives all three. It seems kinda like a pointless limitation though, almost all performance types utilize costumes, and it's not like old school versatile performance where each type gave 2 substitutions

My character who had both abilities never used it to impersonate.

After all, versatile performance only lets you impersonate, and not tell convincing lies.

I use impersonate all the freakin time even without lying. In a lot of situations, just looking the part is enough.

Imo, you still want to train diplomacy and deception so you can Make Requests, Lie, etc. when needed; it's not like OG bersatile performance where you could get away not training the base skill

It's a bit of an odd limitation, but it makes sense if you think about it. It's kinda hard to impersonate a humourless old grump by clowning around hard enough (Comedy), and flat-out impossible (and very likely insulting) to impersonate a quadriplegic by doing an energetic Macarena (Dance). Most of them are perfect for impersonating some people, but Acting is the only one that helps you impersonate anyone.
