Repair a magic item

Rules Discussion

The DC is supposed to be the same required to craft the item.

What about the requirements?

Is a fighter, for example, supposed to just hit trained in craft in order to repair a lvl 13 sturdy shield or is he also supposed to have master proficiency and magical craft as well?

Leaving apart the odds when it comes to hitting the item DC.

Insofar as I'm aware the other requirements are only for crafting it. They are not necessary for repair.

The Repair activity doesn't mention any requirements other than you need a Repair Kit. So it doesn't have any other requirements.

It's the standard DC of that level. So level 13 is DC 31. In a home game I would say you need Magical Crafting but the rules don't have that requirement anywhere.

To be clear by "standard DC of that level" we're talking about the level of the item being repaired, right? Because that's how we've been doing it.

Oh yes, that's what I meant. I thought they were saying the Shield was a level 13 item.
