Is there any way to make a small character medium size?

Vigilant Seal

I have a Dragonborn Paladin in 5e and I noticed that many of the Kobolds feats overlap with the Dragonborn feats... but they’re small and Dragonborn are medium size. Or does it even make a difference?

Small/Medium are the same for the vast majority of the game, excepting Athletics actions and automatically being able to move through enemy squares.

Size means a lot, lot less in PF2.
Your weapons do the same damage, though your Str can often be lower. For Kobolds it's Con instead, so a Kobold PC can do as much damage at 1st as any Medium Humanoid PC can (w/ 18 Str that is).

So technically it makes a difference, but not as much as in any other version of D&D/PF/d20.

This is a case where I would just ask the GM if I could play Dragonborn using the kobold stuff and being medium instead of small.

I heard there are these mushrooms you can eat that will do that, but they tend to be guarded by an army of biting turtles. If you just hop your way through the area you should be able to find some. Stay away from the sunflowers, though. They cause serious indigestion.

Yeah I think we basically have every single race from 5e transferred as an ancestry or heritage except apparently Dragonborn, Minotaur, Satyr and Centaur and Goliath. We also have no Bugbear or Firbolg...?

Even Loxodon can be done as Beastkin with an Elephant ancestor. There’s no bovine animal... no cow, nor Bull that I could find.

Dwarf is self explanatory.
Elf is self explanatory.
Gnome is core.
Half-Elf is core.
Halfling is core.
Half-Orc is core.
Human is core.
Tiefling is Tiefling
Orc is regular Orc.
Stryx may as well be Aarakockra and/or Beastkin.
Genasi is Geniekin for sure.
Leonin is Beastkin or Catfolk.
Aasimar is Aasimar.
Goblin is core <3
Hobgoblin is Hobgoblin.
Kenku is Tengu.
Kobold is Kobold.
Lizardfolk is Lizardfolk.
Tabaxi is Catfolk.
Triton is the Azerketi.
Yuan-Ti could be a Snake Beastkin..?
Tortle could be done as Snapping Turtle Beastkin.
Changeling is Changeling.
I honestly don’t know what a Kalashtar is...
Shifter is anything Beastkin.
Warforged and Android aren’t exact but I suppose it’s a similar idea.
Gith I think are completely D&D only... so I doubt they’ll ever be seen in Pathfinder????
Even Simic Hybrid is somewhat done by the Ganzi sort of.
Vedalkin are just really smart blue people so I mean...
I don’t know anything about Verdan
Locathath are... well idk pick fish Beastkin lol.
Grippli is Grung coming with Mwangi Expanse.

Dragonborn not having tails but totally having boobs always tilted me.

Hahahaha I guess I’ve never seen a female Dragonborn or I forgot. I guess they fear them having tails is too much crossover with Lizardfolk?

I do understand why we might never get Dragonborn/Yuanti. Dragonborn I'd homebrew, probably pulling from Kobold and Hobgoblin feats

For the larger humanoid races, obviously designers have said no to size large for good reason, you could pull something together out of Orc/Hobgoblin/Lizard folk that would be reasonable.

Yes I would like to see Minotaur/Satyr/Centaur in 2e. You can base your Centaurs off a size medium pony. But its a classic fantasy icon that is noticeably missing from the game.

Well at the very least in D&D 5e the current edition Centaur and Minotaur are medium creatures. I think I can manage with just a reflavored Kobold. I still think Yuan-Ti could be done with serpent beast-kin or some magically inclined ancestry or heritage and just reflavor it. Satyr are medium as always I’ve never known them to be large. Even Goliath are medium. There are no large races in 5e... I’m not sure if pathfinder wants to take on the same concessions however.

I have a player using a Lizardfolk Tiefling as a substitute for Yuan-ti.

It most certainly isn't, entirely different lore and unrelated abilities.

I've always hoped for Paizo to release a part-dragon versatile heritage at some point.

I think that we'll be seeing something like the Half-Dragon Template from PF1 at some point and a Versatile Heritage is a perfect way to accomplish this IMO.

What does the enlarge spell do to a small creature? Skip a size all the way up to large?

Yes, it makes it straightforward large (or huge if lvl4), that means that you could make a tiny sprite skip small and medium and become large with the spell.

Or funny enough use something like talk to animals and ask permission to cast it on something like a cockroach (making it willing) and make it large to become a distraction.

Correct because you typically get reach from being large. That is too hard to balance in other ways.

Still its lots of fun as a Tiny Sprite to turn into a Huge Gorilla.
