I know the formulas, but as you level, how does your proficiency bonus change? Does it change?
So what, for example, would be a second level wizard's spell attack and spell dc?
When I search how to calculate these things, everyone seems to only give first level as an example, which tells me nothing about how to do it at subsequent levels.
Thanks!

Wizards start trained in arcane spells, become expert at level 7, master at 15 and legendary at 19. So their Spell Attack bonus is
Level 1-6: Spell Attack = Level + 2 + Int-Mod
Level 7-14: Spell Attack = Level + 4 + Int-Mod
Level 15-18: Spell Attack = Level + 6 + Int-Mod
Level 18-20: Spell Attack = Level + 8 + Int-Mod
Spell DC is Spell Attack + 10 at all levels.

This might help you visualize the progression. The spell attack and spell DC proficiencies are on the last page. As Blave points out, you then add Int Mod to get the spell attack value and Int Mod+10 for the spell DC.
