Magic items for a bard.

Advice

I started playing my orc bard in a game. He's level 4 now and I've got enough gold for a few decent magic items. I'm wondering what to get though.

I'm planning on Eyes of the Eagle for a Perception bonus, but other than the Big 6, I'm lost. Does anyone have any suggestions?

(FYI, this particular group uses gestalt, so the character is a bard/fighter that uses a hornbow.)

Awesome.

Dervish Sikke is nice.

Ring of Sustenance.

Gloves of Dueling (if your Fighter has Weapon Training), or

Gloves of Arrcane Striking (if your Bard doesn't have Arcane Strike, these gloves make it worth getting... splash damage HornBow...)

SwarmBane Clasp.

Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess.

Minor Cloak of Displacement.

Mnenomic Vestments.

A Harmonizing Hero's Hauberk, with Greater Energy Resist and Greater Shadow...

A scroll or two for those spells you couldn't squeeze into your spells known

An efficient quiver and a silver nocking point are useful for archers. Handy haversacks are useful for anyone.

A means of flight for emergencies - a floating feather feather token is about the cheapest for a bard at 300 gp.

On your some day list you might have a goz mask or fog-cutting lenses, gloves of dueling and perhaps a tuned bowstring.

Oh, level 4... I brought the wrong shopping list... 138,450gp set of armor... Lol.

Silver Crusade

Eventually a lesser metamagic rod of extend (3000 gp) is handy. Really for extending 3rd lvl spells (Good Hope), so it's not a big deal yet.

EDIT: At some point a Circlet of Persuasion (4500 gp) is good for your charisma skills (including Versatile Performance).

Hm, splash damage hornbow. I'll keep that in mind. Flying is always nice, even for a ranged character.

I'll look up some of those others.
