What is the foulest, most groan-inducing pun / wordplay you've ever perpetrated upon your group? Asking for a friend. Not like I'm planning to steal ideas for a pungeon....
Usually we have a problem with "pundulations" of puns:
Here's how it usually goes:
1. Someone makes a bad pun
2. Someone makes a clever pun, otherwise start over at step 1 until next available pun opportunity
3. Someone makes a worse pun, we imitate gagging from the stench
4. Someone makes the worst/best pun
5. Someone makes a luke-warm pun
6. Repeat step 5 until no one can think of anymore
7. Sometimes, though rare, a "finisher" pun appears, called the "punisher", which is the finale pun and then we all yell at each other to stop
I think the worst one started with telling a Treant/Druid that "we are leafing!" after negotiations didn't go well, carried on in and OoC for some time, and then concluded with "I can't think of any more puns, I'm stumped"
I don't even remember what campaign we were playing, but it's a fond memory.

Dunno if these count as puns. But I always love when my group fights boggards. When they die I will say, "You hit him with a mighty swing of your axe and the boggard croaks."
And I said this one on another thread once. But when encountering the other type of frog people, someone asked me what they're called. And I said, "They're called gripplies, believe it or not." That got a fantastic groan from everyone. I think someone threw an eraser at me.

I had a bard who inspired using only puns. I mostly looked then up online depending on what we were fighting, but the best one I remember... it was my turn, and I wasnt ready with a joke. So I went with the classic "you guys wanna hear something funny? ... something funny!" And I got booed by the other table across the game store.

My players are literally hitting the boggard camp in "Curse of the Lady's Light" next session. You are my hero.
