Apex Companion Item

Pretty much the title. Sorry if someone else already suggested this.

Now we haven't seen any of these (obviously), but I'll presume we'll be getting some in the book.

One of the complaints I've seen when comparing the Eidolon to other martials is that the Eidolon can't use Apex Items, so it falls (further) behind at the highest levels.
What if there was just a set of Apex Items but for companions?
At those levels I don't think it would be unbalancing for ACs or Eidolons (for those that want to spend the gold), and let's be honest, our current selection of companion items is pretty sparse.

Favored solution - "Apex Evolution, level 17 class feature - When you invest an Apex item, your eidolon may increase an Attribute by +2 for as long as that item is invested."

Short, sweet, and doesn't handcuff the Summoner to having to take a Strength item to keep their Eidolon "on pace".

Just add a line in when describing how the Eidolon uses runes and item bonuses to skills to also include apex items. Simple and requires little page space.

This is simplest option, but denies either the Eidolon or the Summoner a relevant bonus (Str vs Cha). It means one of the two of them is an additional accuracy behind.

Id rather have an option that ensured accuracy is as "on par" as reasonable for both... the summoner can't afford to be behind with Master casting, and the Eidolon really doesn't need to be behind either. Even if it costs a little more text.

Or just add that the Eidolon can take the boost to what ever stat it wants.
