Intimidating Prowess

Rules Discussion

Can this be used while invisible? Apparently it works even 8f enemy doesn't understand me, so I could just make some scary noises and that would suffice?

The GM would have to rule on whether your invisible scary noises constituted "physically menacing the target" (the condition set by the feat). I'd tend to say No. To me physical menace is looming over them, shaking your fist in their face, etc---all visual stuff. YMMV.

Thanks, do you know if theres any way to gain a circumstance bonus to Intimidate besides Intimidating Prowess for a Cleric

I don't have any Build Option answers off the top if my head, just:
Aid
Actual favorable circumstances

Grand Lodge

OTOH, you could make the argument that being invisible is fairly intimidating in and of itself. Intimidating Prowess doesn’t change the audible trait so I think I would allow it. As opposed to Intimidating Glare which changes to a visual trait and would not work if you’re invisible. IMHO

"You hear that sound?" <insert rhythmic slapping thud sound> "That's the sound of the last thing that's ever going to race through your mind"

I could see the bonus applying if you do something like stand right behind the person you're coercing and whisper the threat directly into their ear.

I'm with Fuzzy Wuzzy on this one. You have to be able to physically menace the target.

BTW - however scary it might be for an invisible opponent to whisper threats into your ear, that in no way is "physically menacing".

As for increasing your Intimidation? You can raise your CHA. For a cleric, that also gets you additional uses of your Divine font, so double the bonus!

Kobolds have the Dragon's Presence ancestry feat, but it only give +1 versus opponents who are your level or lower.

The main problem is that most feat-based sources are probably going to be circumstance bonuses and won't stack with one another.

Edit - Just remembered that you can get an Item bonus to Intimidate checks with the Silvertongue Mutagen (if you're ok with the downsides).
