Spell Parry and physical assaults

Is Spell Parry supposed to only grant its bonuses against spells?

Spell Parry wrote:
You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to AC and to saving throws against spells that target you until the start of your next turn as long as you continue to meet the requirements.

As written, it seems to indicate that both the AC bonus and saves bonus apply only against spells that target you.

However, the fluff seems to indicate it is meant to protect you against both physical and magical assaults.

Am I misunderstanding something regarding this feat?

As i understand, only spells that deal magical or physical damage

The way I read it, you get a +1 to AC against all attacks, as well as a +1 to saving throws against spells that specifically target you (so, you get the bonus against Shocking Grasp but not Burning Hands, since the latter is an area spell).

the way i read it it does apply to both

Scarab Sages

It appears ambiguous. Later feats in the chain imply it should apply to both but it could be clearer.

It's syntactically ambiguous (is it "to [AC] and to [saving throws against spells]" or "[to AC and to saving throws] against spells") but I think based on the description and its similarity to Dueling Parry that it's supposed to give you a general boost to AC and a spells-specific boost to saving throws.

This is why we use the Oxford comma.

I don't think "[to AC and to saving throws] against spells") is prudent interpretation, because it throws in a 2nd "to" before saving throws. If it was intended that both "AC and saving throw bonus" only applied against spells, it seems more appropriate to write "You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to AC and saving throws against spells". (probably even clearer with "both" before "AC")

So I believe the prudent interpretation is AC boost is global while saving throw bonus only applies against spells.
