Fate Witch gameplay experience

Advice

I was curious if anyone has had any in game experience playing a fate themed Witch? More specifically with the Nudge Fate hex. I really like the flavor and RP potential of the theme, but on first look at nudge fate, I hesitated a little at the potential of sustaining a hex that has a small potential to trigger.

I will say that I have read the main Witch thread, and some of the criticisms regarding nudge fate being one of the weaker hexes so I'm a little more curious about actual play experience as a player or DM since I know perspectives can change during actual gameplay. Thanks!

I know a person that is playing a Fate Witch in War for the Crown adapted for 2e and is lvl 13 now. While it does not look amazing in combat, outside of it most, if not all, checks basically have the Witch bonus.

I could definitely see more of a benefit outside of combat. It seems like it would stack with guidance as well to better push the chance for it to trigger on a crit fail/fail.

it doesnt stack with guidance since both are Status bonuses on the same roll.
