Recruiting for Gameday IX, First Come First Serve.
Battle maps will be hosted on Tableplop.
If this game actually runs I'll play, I was just afraid you weren't going to get enough people in time to run this.
Between the new rules of allowing two pregens per table, and the permission to recruit after Sep 1st, I hope we can muster a team!
So, you want to start this one late, like last week in Sept? That way most of the quests are completed as they take 4 weeks average.
Not sure if you're still interested in running this GM, but I'd love to sign up if you are. I'd need to run a pregen since I dont have any in range.
Hey Xynen, I am still interested but we have to find at least one more non-pregen player to start a legal table!
I will keep the recruitment open until Sep 28th, though I do hope to find a group sooner than that to avoid rushing the game too much.
If any tier 3-6 character has freed up from a quest or is late to the party, we'll be glad to have you on board!
Hello! I've got a level 3 druid that I would be interested in playing as if you're still looking for players.
Hey looks like this one is going to fire off after all. Any characters I have in tier are tied up right now. Also, now I gotta doublecheck to make sure I didn't already play this one at PAX Con since I signed up for a lot of Pax Con stuff via walkins. Don't start right away if you can help it.
OK, waiting for DoubleGold to sort out his character; welcoming Levi and his druid; and Xynen is up with a pregen.
Ideally we'd need one more; if we can't find anyone I'll run the second pregen myself.
I'm interested in getting in on this one. Id have to run a pregen though, if that's okay for the table. Also I've never run a pregen on pbp how would I set that up?
Pregen should be fine assuming DoubleGold has an actual character freed up - the rule is we need at least 2 real characters and 2 pregens to start.
I have seen three approaches to playing pregens over PbP:
1) create an alias specifically for your chosen pregen
2) reuse an existing alias with its own name but substitute mechanics from a pregen
3) create a generic pregen alias, substituting name and mechanics for the chosen one.
I myself have used the last method for 1-00 with this alias.
Perfect well I'll get started throwing that together so I can be ready if I can bring a pregen. Would I still be able to apply the chronicle to another character, like running a pregen in a table top game?
Yes, if you play a pregen, you still need to pick or create an actual PFS character to apply the chronicle to (even if that character hasn't reached the required level yet). That character will be considered to be in play for this game and so would not be eligible for any other games for its duration. Once your character gets to the level 3-6 range, you can at any point add the effects of this chronicle to it.
Oh I didnt realize that running a pregen tied to a character number would make that character considered in play. Not sure if I would be able to commit any of my current characters to a long pbp then, as I need to keep a few available for VTT play. If Thats the case I'll register a new character number for this game to be applied to!
I was informed you look for another soul. I would be interested to join, but I have lvl 3 Alchemist, and beside him being a skill monkey and a close range bomber he brings very little to team fights. May I learn what is the current PC composition? In the past, I signed up to 4 PC teams and nearly died due to odd team composition and people going silent in the middle of the scenario.
I would like to avoid it if possible
After a day of thinking I am most likely not interested. I don't want to play a rushed game. And I can appreciate a bit lower game amount that I play for 1-3 weeks before regular games are starting
Okay that's fine Farol.
In that case I am waiting until the end of this week for DoubleGold to confirm his character, if he doesn't have one I'll have to call the game off.
And he is still stuck in a play by post game.
Well, it looks like the game is a non-starter then. I don't think I'll be able to finish it in time to qualify for the Gameday. Sorry to disappoint everyone who's applied! Until next time.
I've actually played in a playbypost gameday game that went 50+ days beyond gameday end. It was reported though as finished. You can report it as finished when you are running out of time according to Paizo, but go over, as long as all the players are okay with it.
