Random learning a spell question.

I have a player who would like to hire a spell caster to learn a spell. How much would that cost? Should it be the Price of the Spellcasting Service or Skilled Hireling?

I would have it cost the price of a scroll for that spell + the base Learn a Spell material price. That's essentially what they would pay otherwise and it saves the teaching caster time instead of needing to actually make a scroll (netting the teacher more money per time).

That seems far too expensive. Back in 1E, the typical cost a Wizard charged to share their spellbook was half of the scribing cost.
The Spellcasting Service assumes the spell is casting a spell, which doesn't happen. The person learning the spell simply needs to spend 1 hour per level of the spell in conversation with the other spellcaster, or the same amount of time with the spell in written form (Scroll or spellbook). Note that learning from scroll no longer consumes the scroll.

Wow, I hadn't noticed that but I believe you are correct.
