Do I do one of each? Roll some into a Side Trek pitch? So many options!
Edit: Actually, as I'm digging into it, what sort of format does a Side Trek Adventure Pitch need to be in? Unsure how much detail to provide, at the moment it is just a 150 word overview.
Ah. My bad. I misread.
The adventure pitch generally follows the same general format, but needs to include quite a bit more detail, such as what the party level should be, an outline of the planned encounters (roleplaying, combat, and skill), explanation of the Weal or Woe NPCs you plan on basing the adventure around, and any modified or new monsters you plan on including.
Read my post above about our expectations for the adventure pitch vs. a seed.
My advice is to focus on getting submissions in now. They have a much better chance on making it into the issue. We are only picking one idea for the adventure. Plus, it's getting pretty late in the open call for pitching for the adventure.

Fair enough! Can definitely try this as a Seed instead

1E as in AD&D 1E? I have no problem with it unless it's not OGL or otherwise legal or permissible for us to publish it.
What I want to avoid is having to spend a lot of time researching the copyrights and permissions of said creature, so that we don't get sued.
So, don't submit anything that could get us in trouble.
To clarify confusion:
The link posted by CrystalSeas is to my blog where I post monsters that I written myself - some of them are based on RL myths, but majority were invented by me. I would be converting monsters that I had written for 1st edition of Pathfinder and self-published on my own blog.
If I manage to do that before the deadline, anyway.

Yup. That is totally cool. We have done this many times. No problem.

I recall earlier in the thread it was mentioned that confirmation emails aren't really a thing (which is understandable). Is it the same for acceptance/rejection emails as well?
When we make our selections, we will post the names of authors whose submissions were chosen right here, and on Facebook.
We will follow up with an email to each of our selected authors telling them which submissions were selected, as well as an agreement in order to use their submisssion(s) legally.
Those who have submissions not chosen (or rejected) will not receive any emails or notifications. If your name is not on the acceptance list, you were not selected.

And that's a wrap! Thanks to everyone that sent in their submissions!
Final tally is 78 submissions received, a good and healthy number to build a solid issue from! Here's the breakdown:
Advice - 2
Bestiary - 17
Class - 5
New Rules/Crunch - 6
Equipment/magic items - 9
Fiction - 7
Flavor - 7
Games - 4
Gazetteer - 6
Poetry - 1
Side Trek Seeds - 5
Weal or Woe - 9
We've also selected the pitch by Jeremy Corff for the Side Trek Adventure, so congrats to Jeremy!
Our next step is to begin our review of these submissions and make the selections to get us to at least 76 pages. So, that's pretty much our November, so end of November/beginning of December will probably see our final list.
Once we make our selections, we'll be sure to post the list of accepted authors right here in this thread, as as on our Facebook page.

I know this will not speed up the process, but please someone tell me I am not the only one checking back here every other day/few days? I am incredibly excited to see which people get selected and of course hopeful for my own entries.
Of course, it is only just now early December, so we have some time to go yet!
Good luck again to everyone!

Can confirm, am also checking. I'm also using the rules I submitted for another project, so I can't post the part that uses them until I find out whether or not they're gonna be included in the Zine or not.

Woo! :3
Still kinda sad I forgot to describe my monster's appearance(I think? I might remember that wrong) x3 But woo still for getting in :3
Yes, there was one in particular that I noted "NO Description??"
Email us, which creature, and then give us your description idea. I'll need it for the art assignment. If you don't, then I get to decide what it looks like!

Not sure how exciting my personal idea for appearance was, might be fun to see other interpretations x'D But yeah I'll email it :3

Well, didn't make it, but Let's chomp on the next bit.
Any clues what the theme is going to be?
We won't know until May. My advice is to just keep writing! Muck around with PFTools monster creator. Write out ideas. Join r/pathfinder2ecteations. Join Freelance Forge. Post to the forums here. Just have fun!

So umm, got message from the editor, but after responding I noticed an odd thing: My email says that the email I responded to was sent on Thursday 24th 17:41, but the email had arrived to my box on Saturday 20:45.
So umm... I really hope its just weird bug on my end and that there wasn't three days worth of delay :'D Since if editor had to wait for that long to reply, well if it isn't just weird "wrong time stamp" bug, I'd like to check that they don't have to wait another 3 days to hear my reply? x'D

Honestly, at this point I'd just hope if an editor is trying to contact and it is all quiet, there'd be a post here just reminding said person to email back in case the emails are going nuts. Like those supermarket tannoy announcements. Otherwise, I do get the anxiety of being worried if an editor has tried to reach you but your email account has secretly thrown the message into the spam folder. Then again, I'm kind of new to this so maybe I'm hoping too much or being unreasonable.
