New Boons?

So I just got my 3-02 chronicle and notices there wasnt a boon or anything listed. Heard a rumor they were doing away with them, anyone know what's up?

That does ring a bell, but dang if I can remember any details. May have been discussed during a Twitch stream a few months back?

My GM told me it had to do with the belated conversion to AcP.

Since we'll have lots of Boons to purchase using those, the Chronicles will be lighter.

SFS is going to ACP as well? I must have missed that. Can't say I like the idea since Paizo hasn't been able to get the ACP system up in a year.

The original plan last year was to launch AcP at Gen Con 2019 for 2E, then extend it to SFS in 2020, and then maybe (but not likely) to 1E thereafter. Given the problems that have plagued the AcP so far, its no wonder the plan has been delayed, but for consistency sake, yes SFS should go to AcP and then the elimination of all paper boons.

One thing to note, this is would not affect the boons that are added to scenario chronicles. Those boons are specifically related to the adventure and are separate from the boon program that was initially targeted at convention play and later expanded.

Not all 2e adventures have a boon. Some do, others don't.

So it is not a big deal that for SFS there are no boons in the first couple. Gear is still there.

I would expect future adventures to have boons if the adventure leads itself to having one.
