Woof.

Nice!

I'd just review some feats:

- Good boy/girl: it's basically an automatic help ( basic success ) check for free ( once per round ) and seem too strong ( basically you could always have +1 circ bonus on your first attack for free ).

What about splitting in two the help action?

The ally will expend 1 action to "command" the woofer, while the latter would expend its reaction to quickly catch the ally instructions?

- Worry: I'd forgo the fortitude save. Let just the d10 be automatic damage ( by expending 1 action ).

- Pet: "Feat 13" wording is missing.

Good Boy/Girl does not stack with Inspire Courage, so it's fine.

Worry is basically copied from the Dire Wolf stat block.

This is still a work in progress.

I suggesto you to take into accout that:

- Not every party has a bard ( bard is one out of 12/16 classes ).

- It's a circumstance bonus, while the bard inspire courage is a status bonus ( aid, on the other hand, is a circumstance bonus ).

- It's a huge bonus as a free action ( everybody will go with that specific ancestry feat ).

But, eventually, you'll find out after more replies to this thread.

Assuming this forum isn't dead.

Changed to once per minute frequency.

Completely different direction, the Vlaka exist in Starfinder, maybe adapt them into a PF2 race.

Though I think most of your race feats could be made to work with that without any issue.

*looks between this and the Shoony*

They're the same picture

Seriously though, Good Boy/Girl is too strong.

Alright then, you don't need to listen to me but you could be more diplomatic about it.

Personally I don't like the creation of new races when an a similar race already exist in the cannon of the universe but your house rules wont affect me or my game...so in the end I don't really care.

Are you going to give any criticism?

With how you've reacted to it so far? My initial post still stands, I've not gained any interest to read it, sorry.

How about something like BAD DOG! This admonition can make a Woofer cower in shame.

Ooh that sounds interesting. How would you suggest implementing it?

Not familiar with the PF2 rules so if going by PF1, it would be a will save or become staggered/cowering/frightened.

Mellow, I see that good boy/girl still gives circumstance bonus instead of status bonus.

If you want to make it not able to stack with inspire courage ( as you wrote posts ago ) you should give it a status bonus instead of circumstance bonus.

I changed it to once per minute last week, but it didn't save. The frequency should make it fine, since combats don't usually last more than 5 rounds anyway.

Got to admit that was funny. Loved the race as a whole, and while both it and Shoony are both canine, they are vastly different. For some reason I could just see Hopper from Wheel of Time adapted into a Woofer for someone's game.

Thanks
