Dispel magic vs wall

Rules Discussion

Can you dispel magic against a Wall of Stone spell?

I'd assume no since the Wall of Stone spell just shapes stone and afterward they are not exactly magical themselves, or held in form by magic.

Spell is instant, which means once its done there is nothing to dispel.

A general rule for Dispel Magic.

Do the spell have a duration?

If the answer is yes, you can dispel it.

If the answer is no, then you can't.

Thanks all!

For reference, page 304 gives the reason for that.

"Some spells have effects that remain even after the spell’s magic is gone. Any ongoing effect that isn’t part of the spell’s duration entry isn’t considered magical. For instance, a spell that creates a loud sound and has no duration might deafen someone for a time, even permanently. This deafness couldn’t be counteracted because it is not itself magical (though it might be cured by other magic, such as restore senses)."

Damn. I misplayed that wall of stone.
