You can use flurry of blows with any unarmed strike. If you use it with claw strikes that deal piecing damage, they still Deal piercing while flurrying. If you use FoB with bludgeoning attacks, they continue to be bludgeoning attacks.

Yep. That's why Monk is a bit hard to get into, and gives FoB pretty late. It's a big boost for a lot of classes.
