Is there a new adventure path coming anytime soon? Any idea what it is?

Was there any announcements at Paizocon?

Not yet. Thursday there will be information about the next organized play season, but I don't expect any news about a new adventure path.

May I ask why you think they won't announce a new adventure path? Do you think the PACG line is dead? (which I hope it isn't).

I was talking with Keith R. (CEO Lone Shark)
There is definitely stuff in the works, however Covid has messed things up and he is not sure when announcements will be made

Thanks for the info, that's great news. Maybe they could do a kickstarter to help them finance the product ? It would be cool.

I figure so many production facilities are either shut down or swamped with backorders due to the pandemic, announcing a new PACG release doesn't make business sense ATM. (I *do* hope they have already designed or mostly-designed it though...)

Discussing what might come eventually is about all we can do sadly, until we have any actual info. Time for wild speculation/hoping! Personal preferences for what I would like to see, in order from most to least:

- New updated “Unchained” releases of the old class decks, both to bring them more in line with the current power curve and to update their art. Preferably each one would come with a way to split it into two Adventure Packs for multiclassing. Bonus points if each one comes with a few new Banes and a single small adventure released online or something.
- New Adventure Path. Obviously any new content would be nice, but given their new ability to make much weirder scenarios and adventures by switching to storybooks, as well as the recent success of the video game and the rerelease campaign, my fingers are crossed for a Kingmaker adventure path.
- “Enhanced” Core set that’s meant to be an evergreen solution for high level content like how Core is for low level content. It still kinda falls short at higher levels.
-Updated RotR, S&S, WotR, and MC adventures. I DESPERATELY want these, but not on their own. They would be a must have purchase for me, but I would much rather have new content. Ideally these would be released alongside one or more of the above options. If they commit to 2 APs a year, one new and one updated re-release, I’d be happy with that.

What’s everyone else looking forward to?

Dark Archive

Given all the Kingmaker attention to me it feels like it would make more sense to do a different AP. I'm a huge Strange Aeons fan, and could see that pulling in new folks, but Ruins of Azlant or Ironfang Invasion could pull the card game in some new directions as well.

I mean, I feel like you could make that argument for Kingmaker at any point basically. It’s either “Too close to all the other Kingmaker releases” or it “missed the window of all the Kingmaker releases”, and either way I don’t really see it having a huge impact. I felt that the recent focus was a good reason to bring it back, but the reason I want it is because we don’t have that many “loose” adventures. The new scenario system could work EXTREMELY well with its sandbox nature. I’d love to see a branching path adventure.

If we are just talking “normal” APs that offer something new, I would be EXTREMELY into Iron Gods. Maybe even more so than Kingmaker, even if it doesn’t have as much potential for outright new gameplay.

I am betting on a core set part 2 around december.

Disclaimer: my Starfinder Adventure Card Game is a fan project only, not an official product in any stage of planning or execution whatsoever. Just wanted to make it clear! :)

I didn't get to check out the SFACG, Cartman. Is there a twitch/youtube video of it? And/or will it possibly be available in the totally awesome TTS mod? (Or was it not that far along in terms of card art and such?)

As far as new Content, I could see them doing mini-APs that would be similar to the Society seasons. They just have to make the story books. Could get with DriveThruCards again to make new locations/villains/monsters/etc for them. People could then choose to proxy, or buy the little card sets.

I could see Emerald Spire working very well in a setup like that.

Still would love to see some of the older character decks re-issued in the new format and/or updated to be more competitive with recent stuff.

And finally, my vote(s) for AP would be a 'double sided' one: Hell's Rebels/Hell's Vengeance. That, or Strange Aeons. I 'm running that for my home group now, and could easily sway them to the ACG again if that was available for it.

I do have a video of one of the Starfinder ACG sessions, which I still need to edit, but then i plan to put it up on my YouTube channel.

Sorry for the late response. The reason I didn't expect anything outside of organized play was simply because there was no apparent session scheduled where they would announce it. The organized play session would make sense for when they would announce a new season of organized play, but there was no apparent event where they would announce entire new PACG products.

I don't think PACG is dead (and I certainly hope it isn't).
