Ki Strike on a Druid / MC Monk

Rules Discussion

I am a level 9 druid, I have monk dedication. I'm taking Ki-Strike.

At level 9, would my Ki-Strike become 3D6 Dmg?

Also if I took Ki-Strike, it would add to my focus pool right? So I would have 2 focus points IF I chose to take primal focus at level 12? (i.e to wild morph then wild shape in the same fight)

thanks for any help

Your level to USE all your abilities is the same, you're only limited on which Monk feats you can TAKE. Which is to say, yes, Ki Strike gets Heightened twice up to 3d6.

Yes, it adds to your Focus Pool. The fact it's linked to ki makes no difference except when it's a prereq a for "ki pool" feat.

So yes, Primal Focus would let you get back both Focus Points per lull.

Verdant Wheel

Also: Nice combo.

Your pool would have two focus points after taking Ki Strike. Primal Focus just lets you refocus back up to 2 points instead of just one. So before Primal Focus, you can still use both focus points in one fight once per day. So you could save this combo for a big fight, and just Wild Morph OR wild shape for the other encounters that day, so long as you can refocus between encounters.
