If he is planning on making money with it, no that would not be allowed. Oblique references would be ok (like “goddess of the sun and redemption”).
If he isn’t planning on using it to make money, then the Community Use Policy would have him covered. Look it up for more details.

I think as long as it's not monetized you're okay.

If it is a monetized platform it would not be acceptable to use the names, or even slightly altered names I believe (I'm not a lawyer so I'm not authoritative). You can as mentioned by the above poster make references like "Goddess of Sun and Redemption".

When Critical Role published their Tal'dorei Setting Guide, they had to change the names of the gods for it. While they use mostly D&D gods, the setting does feature Saranrae (because their campaign used to be a PF campaign) they got away with referring to her as The Everlight. So using pseudonyms might be the way to go.
