I have Bard 2 / Swashbuckler 4 and I have been using piranha strike with my rapier for two levels.
Now I have realised (from the boards) that this is not allowed.
I am playing PFS.
I can either buy effortless lace for my main weapon (to keep using the feat) or use the retraining rules and take another feat.
Any feat ideas?
Any thoughts on the value of Piranha Strike?
Is effortless lace worth it?
Is there another feat I can take to solve the problem?
Any help gratefully received!

Is effortless lace PFS-legal? I know it wasn't at one time, but don't know if that changed.
If you need to retrain there's combat reflexes in preparation for taking weapon trick (one-handed), or you could pick up dazzling display, or you could retrain weapon focus into kukri or dagger or some such light weapon then retrain fencing grace into slashing grace.

So your stats are: 10, 20, 12, 12, 10 15
If we work backwards from that to get your stat build points we get -2 DEX (belt), -1 DEX (level 4), -2 DEX (Human) = 15 DEX. So ...
10 STR (0 points)
15 DEX (7 points)
12 CON (2 points)
12 INT (2 points)
10 WIS (0 points)
15 CHA (7 points)
For a total of ... 18 points. You have 2 more points to spend.
So Piranha Strike is great if you're good at hitting things - which you should be - but swashbucklers get a pretty big bonus to damage as they level anyway. Up to you if it's worth it. You can always replace Piranha Strike with Power Attack, but you need 13 STR for that (which shouldn't be too hard if I'm right about your build points, you could just retrain your +1DEX to +1STR at level 4). You could even wait till level 8 to up your STR to 13 and take Power Attack at level 9 (when you get -3/+6). Or you could just get an Effortless Lace, it's probably the easiest method, and it works fine.

If you didn't have Fencing Grace, I'd have recommended you just changed weapons.
Given that you do, I'd retrain Piranha Strike. And no, Effortless Lace is not PFS legal.
Get Great Fortitude instead and call it a day.
As mentioned, base damage for Bucklers is good already, what you need is higher defenses.

Effortless Lace hasn't been made legal for PFS afa AON is concerned, maybe the AR has been corrected thereafter but I wouldn't be aware of that.
You don't strictly need Piranha Strike, but just in case of easily hittable opponents, it's still a good opportunity feat, or most of the times the attack roll will be enough that the penalty won't matter that much, and there's also considering immunities to precision damage (swarms without items and oozes for example).
12 con and no toughness is a worry ... 48 hp at level 6 is fairly meagre. High AC and reflex saves are nice, but in the case of facing either aoes or barbarian-like opponents, there's no cushion. That said my opinion is heavily influenced by my "HP is life" manstra, and I do concur with the suggestion of Great Fortitude. +4 on Fortitude sounds low at that point.
Otherwise I'd suggest to wait some extra cash to buy some plumes and retrain Extra Panache for Antagonize (the problem is the character not having either Diplomacy or Intimidate though)

Hmm, that could change things.
I’m an inveterate fiddler so I could have been playing around and done something daft like putting the human bonus in another stat.
