Class Cannon Podcast - Episode 243

Troy's closing monologue is my favorite moment of the AP so far. I think he did such a stellar job.

This whole series of play for the last few episodes has been remarkable DMing, in my opinion. Things are going a little screwy plus there's the problem this book always faced (of book 4 ending with a massive dungeon crawl, leading into....book 5 being an even bigger dungeon crawl).

Troy and the players have done a great job of keeping the story interesting, in my opinion. I really like the tension in 241, the twist in 242 and now the resolution (such as it is). Can't wait for next week's episode!

Troy has done a lot with a little, especially keeping close to the book as written. That said, the intros to almost every episode with an encounter try to build up hype but it's obviously the party will just straight up destroy everything put in front of them (with one big exception).

For me it’s been a great lesson in the value of good DMing. I often write off an AP (or sections of one) but Troy has made even the hits of giantslayer I find dull to be interesting.

I’m kind of glad they picked an easy one, to be honest. Not sure I’d be so keen to listen to a whole bunch of difficult, high level encounters.
