Hi,
I'm playing a barbarian and plan to pick up the impelling disarm feat. I'd also like to get a ranseur (reach weapon) because it is good at disarming and other role-playing reasons.
Down the road, if I get the come and get me feat, and someone closes on me to attack me from 5-feet away, how do I still use the come and get me feat when my opponent is right next to me and I have a reach weapon? I was thinking about getting a spiked gauntlet...but...I believe it is a free action to switch my ranseur from 2 hands to 1 hand - free actions need to be done on my action and not my opponent's action.
I'd like a solution for this, and ideally not one where I have to end every round determining whether I have one or two hands on my ranseur as that could get tedious.
Thanks

Options other than spiked armor are:
*Take the feat Improved Unarmed Strike: This will let you simply kick anyone that gets too close and continue to threaten the area around you even when your hands are occupied.
*Wear a Dwarven Bolder helmet: Sure, you take a -4 to hit for non-proficiency but otherwise it's the same as improved unarmed strike where you can headbutt anyone that gets too close.
*Gain a bite or talon(foot) attack: There are ways to do this via feats and/or class abilities but if you don't feel like going through all that there is a plethora of magic items that grant various natural weapons (as discussed in this thread). Of course since you're holding a two-handed weapon claw and slam attacks are no good (since your hands and arms are occupied) but anything else that doesn't use your hands and/or arms are fine. What's nice is that if you only attack with the natural weapon you don't even suffer the -5 for mixing natural weapons with manufactured weapons.
