Were child androids ever published for SF?

The following line was in the first book of Iron Gods

Was this ever used in SF, even on an NPC? I haven't really checked the system since launch.

Not that I know of, but it's something you could simulate with the Xenometric trait from COM.

Also, age based ability adjustments were never published in Starfinder, so the exact same approach is not usable.

That's a horrible, horrible thing to inflict on a PC in Starfinder.

"Adjustments" are what your race starts with.

"Increases" happen as you level up.

What that section is clarifying is that you never lose the Young template.

I will clarify that I was looking for if it's still a thing in lore as much as the rules for it. Afterall, the Androids between the two games aren't quite the same: PF Androids need to breath but not sleep, SF Androids need sleep but don't need to breath.

In-fact, that IG paragraph contradicts itself and makes it of questionable usefulness. They have "fully realized intellects" but take mental score penalties and are restricted to NPC classes. I always just went with it was the equivalent of small sized planetouched (no ability changes, just small size).

For Starfinder, I would just give them the same stats as a regular Android, and make them small size category.

Yes. No reason an Android has to be weaker just because its built to Child specs. If you want your PC to be weak because of their size, just don't spend any points on Strength.
