Power attack. Multiple penalty

Rules Discussion

POWER ATTACK [two-actions] FEAT 1
FIGHTER FLOURISH
You unleash a particularly powerful attack that clobbers your foe but leaves you a bit unsteady. Make a melee Strike. **This counts as two attacks when calculating your multiple attack penalty**. If this Strike hits, you deal an extra die of weapon damage. If you’re at least 10th level, increase this to two extra dice, and if you’re at least 18th level, increase it to three extra dice.

My question is: that penalty (-5) is applied to the attack of power attack or it would be later with another normal attack . If it were later it wouldn't be too top

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Uh I don't have citations. but I'm pretty sure somewhere it mentioend that MAP applie based on the last attack. Not the current generating.

So 3 actions. Power attack 2 actions.

If you did.
POwer attack then 1 atttack.
POwer attack would not have MAP. But the 1 attack would take -10

If you did 1 attack then Power attack. You would nave no MAP on attack 1. then -5 on the power attack.

There are other abilities that use one action for multi things. Ranger has one that does two attack too.

Thank you, you have been very helpful!

That is how I read it. Then if you are wielding a 2 handed weapon and have furious focus then it counts as 1 attack toward MAP instead of 2. Which is a nice boost for 2 handed weapons
