So Druidic Herbalism says you can make potions (and elixiers) of spells you can cast.
Secret of Magical Discipline says you can cast a spell off any spell list once a day, per feat you spend on this ability. But you need to dip 1 level of Loremaster to get the secret class feature.
What I was thinking is I might be able to use Channel the Gift to make multiple potions from other spell lists...but after re-reading Secret of Magical Discipline I think it takes a use even if I channel the gift to make it "free". So I could only make 1 potion or elixier that isn't on the druid list per use of the feat.
Can anyone think of a way to get more uses of Secret of Magical Discipline without spending more feats on it? Is it worth the 1 level dip? Is it worth going deeper into Loremaster? I can't imagine going further into Loremaster will be a good choice. The druid in question has a 12 int.

As avr says. Or to quote Druidic Herbalism: "This acts like the Brew Potion feat, but only for spells on the druid spell list."
If you can add spells to your spell list, then I'm sure some would argue that should work (the question being whether Druidic Herbalism uses your druid's spell list or the generic druid's spell list), but anything that merely allows you to cast spells from other lists is right out.

Another wrench in the works is that Secret of Magical Discipline allows you to cast a spell. But while Brew Potion expends spells, you're not actually casting them.
Edit: at 4th level, a Herbalist Druid "can create concoctions of spells from any spell list, as long as she can cast the spell". So a literal reading of that would make the whole trick work after all, I think.

Druidic herbalism's brew potion only functions for spells on the druid list, explicitly. I'm not sure secret of magical discipline is of use here.
I can't think of a temporary means of gaining a feat which lasts the hours you'd need to use brew potion, anyway.
As VRMH pointed out
Additionally, at 4th level, when the druid creates additional concoctions, she need pay only half the normal cost to create them. It takes her only half the normal time to create her concoctions, and she can create concoctions of spells from any spell list, as long as she can cast the spell.
Once you hit 4th level you can now make concoctions of any spell you can cast. Not on your spell list, any you can cast. Does that change anything?

It probably makes secrets of magical discipline work with their potions/concoctions, you're right. They still take 4 hours each to make, even at half the usual time which is an issue for any buff I can think of but...
Additionally, at 7th level, a druid can create any herbal concoction in 1 minute.
When this comes online then paragon surge (if your druid is a half-elf) could get you a bonus feat which you could spend on SMD. You'd want to gain access to this via a scroll, potion or whatever of course. The potions you create this way are treated as infusions though, they take up your spell slots and stop working if you reprepare that spell slot.
