Power attack

Rules Discussion

Power attack counts as two attacks when determining multiple attack penalty.

Does that mean if you use power attack for your first attack us at a -5?

No, but it means a power attack followed by a strike is -0, -10.

No, it means that your first (power) attack is at a +0 and any followup third action strike is at a -10.

I believe you all. Can you point to where in the core book this would be explained better? Because after I read the feat I thought you took a -5 to attack to possibly gain the bonus.

Your MAP only applies after an action or activity with the attack tag has finished resolving. Power attack is an activity with the attack trait, it counts as 2 attacks for MAP, but you perform only one of them, at the current MAP from when you started it (usually 0).

Power attack doesn't have the Open trait. So it can be used after a strike for good damage at -5 MAP
