I played a gnome alchemist for Carrion Crown who sadly died in the first book.
His name was Winston Thornberry, and he was a traveling salesman, or as he wouod put it, "an aging vendor of exotic elixers" (he was a snake-oil salesman).
He had the Breadth of Experience feat (he was middle-aged), and I played it that any time we rolled a knowledge roll he'd have some unbelievable story of how he knew this thing (or if he didn't know it he'd make it up).
He was based on NIGEL WEST DICKENS.
Really fun to play, quite a valuable member of any team and the favourite of everyone in my group, but sadly he didn't make it.

I played a Mesmerist/swashbuckler that got buy in most situations by flirting or glaring at people until they’re were knocked completely off balance. She was also a compulsive liar.
-Particular highlights included flirting her way out of a jail cell
-Glaring her way into the elite district of a segregated society
-Marrying the group war priest during a horde zombie attack
She’s my fave I’ve played, but I’ve played 4 characters and planned 32 so.... yeah haha.
Also sometimes I think I prefer a blind Oracle who was a priestess of Pharasma and a Seer who was great fun but I only got to play a one shot. It was a LV10 one shot, so she had blindsense and plenty of magic.
She used her divination to read entrails and commune with Pharasma and just use magic and such.
But she was also midwife who would ask around town if anyone was pregnant and close, then turn up at their door and say she had a vision and was sent their by Pharasma.

My only character so far was Zecharian Orendil, my elf evoker in Kingmaker. He started off as a pretty 2-dimensional character that just wanted to blast nature to bits since his home was destroyed by evil fey, but as the campaign progressed he gained more depth.
It all started when he had several brushes with death. The first was an attack by a bullette that nearly sliced him to ribbons. The second, a soul drinker attacking him in the night and actually killing him via wisdom drain, before it was slain and his soul was released back into his body. He developed nyctophobia (fear of the dark) and became interested in eternal life, since death was so terrifying for him. His third brush with death was when he and his companions were trapped in a flooded room in Vordakai's tomb. They barely made it out.
Enter the Oculus of Abaddon. Zecharian kept the artifact after his party left the tomb, saying that he wanted to research it some more. He planned, in fact, on becoming a lich once powerful enough and using it himself. He'd already taken an interest in Abaddon, and I was probably gonna give him souldrinker levels eventually.
The campaign never got that far. I had a whole plan written out for achieving lichdom, down the the actual volume of gold that I'd need to steal and how many portable holes would fit it.

Rusty Ironhead, Chaotic Good Dwarf Fire Bloodrager. Rusty suffered a head injury and has amnesia, so when he tried to figure out what happened someone said "you're a bit rusty" and he thought that was his name. He also had a habit of headbutting opponents, so earned the nickname Ironhead. Rusty isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, usually acting before thinking about the consequences, but he always means well. His cheerful, friendly demeanor masks a deep sadness over his amnesia, but most of the time consuming enough alcohol to kill a horse or the danger of bodily harm keep him from dwelling on his lack of memory. Also, things around him catch on fire sometimes and he doesn't know why. It's always fun playing against type, and a dwarf who doesn't speak dwarvish or even know what clan he's from has been a blast. The GMs I've played with who cared for backstory loved it, and those who just wanted to kick down the door and kill monsters didn't have any complaints about him either. Plus sneezing magma and burning down a tavern was a hilarious way to have the party realize my character wasn't actually a barbarian.

Best PC? A city rat named Jack. Deal went south in the Chitown Burbs so Jack decided to tag along with this group of 'Adventurers' heading towards Tolkein up north. Ran into a huge swarm of these giant bug men called Zylaphones or something like that. Found a Coalition outpost that was over run by the bugs. Managed to get some equipment from the place (though not a lot)...and the bright idea of overloading the fusion plant to try and nuke the swarm after we lured it back there.
Being the only tech guy Jack managed to hack into the power plant and set up the overload. He also managed to make a copy of the entire database. That included all of the military deployments in the area, lots of codes, unit details, shipments and intel on factions in the area.
Used a 'borrowed' suit of powered armor to lure them back to the base. Made one hell of a boom. Beat feat and made it to Tolkien. Sold off the stuff that would be easy to identify...and that database. The data was worth a lot more than the powered armor. Sunk a lot of that money into what amounted to an armored high tech RV and just wandered after that. Good times.
Now if you are talking about Pathfinder, that would be a 17th level Unversalist Wizard who referred to himself as 'The Wizard Zam' but his real name was Charles Dupree. Helped to found a kingdom in the River Kingdoms. Probably the single largest business owner in said kindgom. Has two wives, one mistress, and two women who betrayed his expectations. Is currently working on creating a reincarnation device capable of raising an army. Admits to be a very bad follower of Erastile. Is well on his way towards discovering a method of true immortality. Has the ambition of making his grandson into the King and ruling from the shadows. Is very well liked by most of the surviving Fae in the kingdom. Is also considering adding a few more wives if he can fall in love again. His wives mostly humor him. His mistress runs a bath house/gambling den modeled after the one in 'Spirited Away'.
In technical terms, Zam is a full on crafting wizard with an apprentice that followed in his footsteps and has cooperative crafting. His most used magic item is a Ring of Telekinesis which he uses to throw around large-sized chakrem when he can't think of anything more effective to do.
