Rulebook in Multiple Languages

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

I am going to play PF2 most likely on a playtable with all people having German as their primary language, some unfortunately struggle with the English language.

So my question: If I buy the pdf, is there a possibility of getting the translated pdf without buying it again?

I am not of the paizo team, but I can say unless paizo publishes in German I doubt it. Normally paizo grabs other people to do translations and they do need to be paid for their work. Like what is happening to pf2 in portuguese, if you buy the English book they won't grant the portuguese copy.

Highly unlikely. Paizo doesn't translate themselves, they let Ulisses Spiele do that work (for the German translation).

Also, the core rulebook PDF and bestiary PDF are heavily discounted at $15 per PDF. I don't know how much Ulisses will charge, once the translation is done.

Translation is hard work. It takes time and effort, especially if you want it done well, so it's only right to pay people for it.

That's unfortunate - also I honestly don't like Ulisses SPiele not that much

The Pathfinder/Starfinder translation team at Ulisses Spiele is hard at work with the German translation, and aims to get the Grundregelwerk out this year. I cannot speak to the pricing, though.

I don't know about the German pricing but the Brazilian one if you convert the local coin to dollars it's about $13 the final price of the CRB PDF.

I paid US$ 27 for the two core books + all stretch goals as PDFs. That includes (Character sheets, The Fall of Plaguestone, lost omens) soon it will get to hellknight hill and might get to Cult of Cinders.

there is\will be a german prd site also. but it might be hard finding the corresponding german rules for the english ones, tbh... especially if you don't understand german yourself. (the english feats, monster names, and so on are not mentioned).

afaik the german translation will not be released in august. 'and september will be tough'
