I am curious about the effects of Olympic lifts but I was told by the people at the meet my traps would get bigger. I've always felt I was a little bottom heavy(its expectable - what do you expect from kitties who run half marathons and further distances for sh*ts and giggles)
I am also curious if it's possible to train them without doing the actual motion as my gym won't allow it as it's too congested.
My current project is to continue gaining strength despite on a weekday 500 cal deficit. Or when I can make that 500 cal deficit. Haven't been very compliant. I wonder how much strength I can pack on relatively low body weight, I.e str to weight ratio.

Fun Fact!
The Egyptian Mau breed of cat is probably the oldest breed of domestic cat. In fact, the Egyptian word for 'cat' is 'mau'. Which leads to this thought: Did they name the cat after the sound it makes? i.e.
Early Egyptian: "Hey, aren't you a cute little critter. What are you?"
Cat: "Mau."
Early Egyptian: "Mau? Okay, you're a mau."

<--ish kitty rug. This is a half trail, half road hybrid ultra so the total elevation was around 500-600m ish and of course my knees are killing me today.
Running and strength training are a bit of an odd mix,as in strength training helps you be less injury prone for running, but running affects your gainz. Buckets were bloody heavy today.

I never really heard MCR until a few years ago (someone referenced Black Parade, so I looked it up on Youtube and didn't care for it), but Beverly Hills, yeah. That got overplayed a bit. I do still kind of like their Buddy Holly song. A little. Really just the video. I think it's well done and kinda funny.

The song I hate most for being overplayed has to be Blue by Eiffel 65. I never liked the song to begin with, but I was in college when it hit big and I couldn't seem to escape it for a whole freakin' year. Everywhere I went, even just walking from my apartment to the commons to check the mail, it seemed like I heard it blaring from people's apartments. And it wasn't like they all just happened to be listening to the same radio station. I would hear it end from one apartment, just to hear it start again from a different one. Or from a car driving by. Or it would be playing in the commons building. Or on the TVs in the cafeteria. Or from my roommate's stereo. Just friggin' everywhere!

Gotta keep your body guessing. That's why some days I walk 3 miles, eat only raw organic greens, and do 2 hours of yoga, while other days I sit on the couch for 19 hours, eat 4 bags of Flamin' Hot Cheetos, and drink 7 liters of cola.
I think that is how you get a heart attack actually.

So go on the offensive. Attack that heart before it can attack you!

Have you read Why We Sleep?? It’s pretty eye-opening (oh god I swear that wasn’t intentional). According to big old piles of research yes, reduced sleep does lead to increased aggression, irritability, fight-response to stress, and plain old shanking obnoxos.
So... IRL rage follows fatigue not the other way round?
