'Im actually late on my raise too. Which is because of covid and the hotel barely staying open. It's suppose to be retroactive tho so I will get what is due.

On brighter side of news my game is going well They are 9th level now. They can handle fights up to 4 above their CR with little trouble. I kind of figured that the all 18's would balance out at higher levels but not yet I don't believe. It's not really a problem the solution is just numbers.

I am growing annoyed with the number of people I've seen in the last week or so who try to check in at my hotel and aren't wearing masks. Like, not even around their neck and they just forgot to pull it up. But no mask evident at all. And when I tell them to go next door, I watch them walk over there and go in without putting one on. It's so frustrating.

Oh yeah that is like 65% of our guests.

And just think...mask use among people is *higher* in C-U, B-N, and Peoria than it is in the rural towns around us.

Pfft. Masks. I was into those before all you posers ruined them.

OH MY GOD I NEED A RORSCHACH COVID MASK!

We live in an age of wonders.

DISCLAIMER: I have no idea if that is any good, just the first hit on Etsy.

No, I mean I need the truly functional one...it needs to swirl and repattern itself...

I don't ask for much.

You know what those posers have also ruin?

My entire summer wardrobe, carefully curated over decades.

Since I was little, living in Hawai'i, I have loved Hawaiian shirts. In the summer I wear a tank top with a matching Hawaiian shirt. Do you know how long it takes to find tank tops that match *exactly*, not just "close enough"? Decades, I tell you, decades!

And now, .........

Ahem.

If you can make a mask that changes its patterns like Rorschach I want one too!

Dammit. I managed to take Defect to the final boss(es) on Ascension 20. First was the Time Snail. I managed to kill it while still having about 60% health. Then up came Deca and Donu. If the fight had been a continuation, I probably would have won easily (the combo of the Inserter relic and Consume+ let me have about 25 focus), but since it was a new fight it all reset and I never stood a chance.

It might be possible with some of these. It looks like it updates fairly slowly, and that you shouldn't bend it as it updates, so you might need to mount it to a non-flexible substrate molded to fit your face "comfortably". I imagine it wouldn't be wearable for long, but it might work long enough to create a viral video.

That's cool.

A lot more people wearing masks today. That's good.

They are talking about closing TN down again. that is a start at least.

PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spider Mort Spider Mort does whatever a spider mort does. Can she swing from a web? maybe who knows Look out here comes spider mort!

Maybe she's been lying to us. Maybe she's really a mountain goat, not a cat.

Spider goat spider goat does whatever a spider goat does...

Well, they do have genetically engineered goats that produce spider silk in their milk...

Wait.. really?

Yeah. For over a decade. They've even managed to make some that may make better bulletproof vests than kevlar.

Well that is simultaneously cool and creepy.

Cool and creepy. That seems to describe me fairly well.

Spider goat gran? Naw no song there.

Goats and cats both always seem to want to climb to the highest spots they can reach.

Maybe cats and goats are the same thing, but you can't find out unless you open the box...

The Exchange

Wouldn't climb in shorts. I prefer spandex long pants to prevent the usual scrapes that come along with scrambling up walls. Though it's funny about the goat part, one bouldering route i did on Friday required you to just have faith and step rather far to the next rock and balance to reach the top.

My Spartan sprint is on 7 November so I gotta figure out how to bear hug a 20 kg bucket and walk 400m with it. That's like 2/5th my weight lol.

If you can get to 10 times your weight we can call you Antmort.

You know when people tell you to stand still for a picture. does anyone else feel like all they can think about is how often they are blinking in those situations?

My first thought when someone tells me to stand still for a picture is "They better have a damn good reason for taking my picture." Then, assuming I agree to have my picture taken, I generally think (and often say out loud) "Will you hurry up? I have less annoying things to do right now."

The camera wants your soul gran.

Then the camera is an idiot. I don't keep my soul in my body. That would be ridiculous.

I keep em on the bottoms of me shoes where they are suppose to go...

The Exchange

Just ran 30.4km. Took me 3 h 40 min to do it.

just about 10km an hour so like 6 Mph that seems super good. GJ Mort.

The Exchange

Not quite 10km/h. 8.3km/h but it's like the sheer distance you can cover, compared to walking since I'm a slow @ss walker.

well see if I had done it I would of probably went at 2.8KPM because at some point I would of stopped and took a nap.

I'm thinking I might have made it 30.4m.

I have briefly reached top speeds of around 29-30km/h, but that sudden stop by the ground really hurts.

I try to land on my head, which thankfully cushions the blow.

Urgh my father in laws cholestrol went up from last year. Im beginning to wonder what I cooked wrong. I have no idea what could be the issue since pork only appears only once per week.

It doesn't have to be pork. Any animal product (meat, eggs, cheese, milk, etc...) contains cholesterol. Also, saturated fats can cause your liver to produce extra cholesterol. This means some types of oils-such as palm oil, palm kernel oil, and coconut oil-can lead to high cholesterol levels. So maybe it's coming from something like that.

The Exchange

I haven't been cooking eggs for him. I don't control his breakfast - so if he eats cheese with his bread - that's not something I have any say in.

I don't really care for taking all meats out of the diet - my husband wouldn't be very happy, and from a body fat percentage point of view, if you really wanted to get shredded from a vegetarian diet you'll need to supplement with protein powders.

If he eats biscuits for tea - it's also not within my control. I only control lunch and dinner and only on Saturday evening do I make 500g of char siew pork for the entire family.

Granted, for taste wise and also waste not want not - the two chicken meals - chicken wings and chicken drumstick - include with skin on.

My cooking oil used is soya bean. Decently high smoke point.

If he's like my dad and my brother, even with eating healthy and no changes in medication, his cholesterol level may still be increasing as he gets older.

Don't blame yourself, especially since you are a very conscientious chef.

Edit: Also, my brother had made a habit of sneaking in high cholesterol snacks, which stumped his doc and wife until they figured out what he was doing.
