Upper body workouts?

Forum being weird. testing.

Oh beat STS with the defect. Apparently the challenge mode win with the rogue guy didn't take so I still need to do it with him.

With the defect I did it with reboot and as many 0 cost cards I could find. oh and some lighting orbs. Lighting claws worked pretty well.

The Exchange

Lightning claws at low ascension is fine. But at higher ascension levels, defense may be lacking.

You think I should go heavy ice for later levels?

My dream build is a bunch of the power and focus cards with capacitors. then just a bunch of random orbs.

The Exchange

Yeah I usually do Frost claw for later ascension levels. Lugging my sorry arse to buy more fishes geez I'm stiff.

You been stretching well enough after your workouts?

Super nice guy stayed with us. He is on his way to Florida in case they need assistance with the coming hurricane. Needed to burrow a phone charger. Loaned my personal one since it fit. Sat where I could easily see him while it was charging (without me asking or even inferring) just to ease my mind. (presumably that's how I'm gonna think about it anyways.)

Sorry, but I think it's just the sheer volume - who's crazy enough to jump into an impromptu half marathon lol. I need to grin and bear it.

I definitely did cool down with hamstring stretches, quad stretches, IT band stretch and a whole cool down routine.

That's nice to hear that not all humans are @ssholes. There's hope for humanity yet!

Today's damage report:
My left side is stiff, esp my left knee, but surprisingly I can jog. The blood blister on the right side seems healing fine after I poked it and I'm off to climb some rock walls.

I am doing 36 push ups, split into 3 sets. Not sure if I can do burpees but will try after rock climbing. May see if I can get a YouTube yoga session in today too. And maybe some entertainment trying to swing on monkey bars.

I need to start doing yoga again. Cardio has been my focus lately.

Going to the gym tomorrow myself... need to get YOKED

Why do you want to be attached to a wagon via a harness with the intention of pulling said wagon?

You just want an excuse to wear yoga pants, don't you?

That was also my thought but my silly reasoning skills said it must mean something else.

I made date bread

2nd pic: side view

Really weird since I measured out everything carefully(converted cups to grams and liquid cups to ml), and the dough was too wet. Had to add more flour so I don't think I can duplicate it. Nonetheless it did have the desired result of being softer then the last batch, though I think it could use more dates.

Looks good. I heard you always want to measure flour by weight instead of volume. Something about it's volume varying. I don't do much baking though.

So its way too early but I decided the ending for the game I'm running. I'm going to have them remake the universe ending the old one and that will be when we convert to 2nd edition.

The Exchange

Are the players keen on 2nd Ed? Also if they are unfamiliar with it there may be downtime as they have to learn the rules and create their character.

I will swear by Yoga. My left knee was dodgy until I put myself through 30 min of runners yoga yesterday and took an afternoon nap. Today I managed to walk down stairs and do a short dash to catch the train lol.

Next time I long run, I will make sure I find the time to incorporate a yoga session as soon as possible after the run, even if I have to do it in view of the general public.

The Exchange

I did manage to get up a new rock wall still =)

No pics of me at the top because I wasn't expecting myself to be able to do it and so didn't pass anyone my phone but when I tried to get up on it again I didn't manage it.

The Exchange

It was really one weird weekend. I knew that my body wasn't functioning properly after the run - the last time I walked 22km, I was ravenously hungry, even to the point of happily snacking along the way.

Didn't happen for this run. After the run, I didn't feel hungry. I actually made myself eat because I know my body needs it, no matter what it says.

And I knew that I should be feeling tired, but my energy levels were fairly normal, except that my left side and knee were an ouch. Even did batch cooking and all that, that night I didn't sleep much as I wanted to set the dough so it could rise while I went rock climbing.

I suspect that run it was all the release of chemicals of some kind that sort of pushed back hunger and fatigue. At least I know how my body acts now after long runs.

I think my major problem with cooking itself is you require preparation. Which, to be honest, isn't my strong suit. (It's also probably why lots of my wizards died in 2nd edition. I mean yes I took magic missile, but how good is that against MR unbeatable??)

So I guess if I had to ask for help guys, what should I prepare ahead of time this week because honestly while I have left overs and ONE frozen entree...I'm not sure what else to do.

I do have LOTS of different kinds of beef (as my mom bought a 1/4 of a cow from a local farm that does its own butchering)...but not sure what else and honestly not sure I want live off beef for the next 24 days or so...

A quarter of a cow is exactly what you are going to have to eat for the next 24 days. Its more than enough for one person for a month.

The Exchange

Pop in some potatoes, carrots and you have a stew.

Stir fry beef slices with black pepper, garlic and capsicum, you have a dish. You may use minced beef to fry with green beans with a little soya sauce.

Well first You have to realize that this game will probably got to level 20+ and last over 2 years. So by then they will probably have decent knowledge of 2nd and we will have some option books out by then.

The other nice thing about my group is they will play whatever I run.

I have a Super tasty recipe but it looks terrible until the end. Its easy so you need some of uncle ben's wild race. It comes in a box. 1-2 chicken breast you should but don't have to cut them into cubes. 1 can of cream of mushroom and cream of celery. So you need a big pan or pot that can hold all your ingredients. put in the soups 2 cans of water and the seasoning packet in the rice. Get them to a boil reduce to a low temperature add your rice. Cover but Stir occasionally so the rice doesn't burn to the bottom of the pan. cook your chicken in another pan add to the rice. once your rice is all done its good to do. If you lazy you can just throw the chicken in at the beginning and just make sure the chicken is done after all the other steps. honestly its worth cooking the chicken seperatly. IT won't look good (looks a little like gruel) but it will taste great. You can also just throw all those ingredients in a crockpot for like 6-8 hours and it will also work.

For beef Jeez their is so many ways...

Somehow I missed this comment the first time through... sadface.

Random question anyone here play X-box? I ask for gamer tag reasons.

Not multiplayer.

I don't usually do multi-player but their is a game or two.

Mostly I'm starting to work on a dungeon in mine craft and I want people to run through it.

The Exchange

I could eat beef for the next 24 days and be one happy cat...

The Exchange

But anyway if you want batch cooking of beef.(5 days worth) - I hope you've got a really big pot.

Buy 5 frozen broccolis and chop them into smaller pieces.

Buy a whole carrot, peel off the skin and slice it into pennies(0.3 cm thick).

Slice 450g of beef into 0.3 cm thick slices, season with 5 shakes of pepper, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of salt. Corn starch is optional.

Fry the brocoli and carrot in oil while adding 1 teaspoon of salt, and judicious shakes of garlic powder. Add water if the broccoli seems too dry. When the brocoli starts to look cooked, add in the beef and fry until the beef is cooked. Spoon everything out and you have a vegetable and meat dish for 5 days.

You can eat it with steamed rice or a baked potato if you're into carbs...

Right?

If you're going to do a lot of batch cooking, I recommend a slow cooker. I use mine for soups, chili, pot roast, pulled pork, Italian beef, etc. Clean up is usually pretty easy, and if you want to you can buy disposable liners. I've never used them so I don't know how well they work, but they are available.

Hmm also make sure (since you seem not used to doing a lot of your own food prep) your getting variety don't want to end up with scurvy.

The Exchange

If you can get scurvy while eating that amount of brocoli I will eat my hat without sauce. According to my calculations, eating 5 broccolis over 5 days is like 200% of your daily vitamin C requirement.

I wasn't referring necessarily to your suggestion Mort. I was just thinking of my SO's sister who when she went off on her own got pretty close to getting scurvy.

Also I so rarely get to use that Pirate alias.

The Exchange

But good point on vitamin A. It is indeed lacking. But a sliced up carrot should remedy that fine. He'll still need to get calcium, fibre, potassium and more protein from other sources, but at least its a start.

Of course he could also add in 3 cauliflowers to the mix for even more fibre... Brocolis, cauliflower and carrots make a very pretty picture =)

Aye and booty....

The Exchange

Let's see if I can get some time to come out with a complete menu for batch cooking for 5 days.

Lol well Thomas I don't think we have to worry about you starving.

The Exchange

Breakfast(5 days) :

5 tomatoes, 1 kg of green peas, 5 red/yellow/green peppers chopped up, 450g of minced beef (preseason with a teaspoon of salt)

Throw everything into a pot and cook it for about 10 min with half a bowl of water. Add around 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary and judicious loads of garlic. If you can get a chopped onion, throw that in as well.

Lunch(5 days):
5 brocollis
3 cauliflowers
A whole carrot (peeled and cut into pennies)
450 g beef sliced into 0.3cm strips

Slice 450g of beef into 0.3 cm thick slices, season with 5 shakes of pepper, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of salt. Corn starch is optional.

Fry the brocoli and carrot in oil while adding 1 teaspoon of salt, and judicious shakes of garlic powder. Add water if the broccoli seems too dry. When the brocoli starts to look cooked, add in the beef and fry until the beef is cooked. Spoon everything out and you have a vegetable and meat dish for 5 days.

1.5 kg of eggplant cut into strips
1.5 kg of green beans cut into 3 sections
450g sliced chicken breast - pre season it with 1 teaspoon of salt.
Chilli powder

Fry the eggplant and beans with garlic powder and 5 tablespoons of soya sauce, then add the sliced chicken breast. Sprinkle with chilli powder.

Dinner(5 days) :

1.5kg of okra fried with 450g sliced beef cut into 0.3 cm strips.
Slice 450g of beef into 0.3 cm thick slices, season with 5 shakes of pepper, 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 teaspoon of salt. Corn starch is optional. Fry okra with an onion while adding half a teaspoon of salt. Then add the beef slices and cook until its done. Serve.

Stick in 2 glasses of milk anytime during the day and you should be good for everything including protein, fibre, iron, potassium, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin A.

That's about 1728 calories, 125.2 g of protein.

Thomas, why don't you tell us what sauces and spices there are in your kitchen so I can get more creative? I'm trying to work with as basic stuff as possible.

Alright real question for you slay the spire folks. I beat it with all 3 and it unlocked the 3 shards red blue green. What do they do?

Maybe we have overwhelmed him with options.

Okay, so when you play again, you can collect the shards (or keys, as they are called). One can be gotten at a rest site, one at a chest, and one by beating an elite (one per level, the symbol is different-kind of firey). If you have all three keys/shards when you beat the third boss, you go to the fourth level. That level consists of one rest site, one shop, an elite fight (which is always the same), and the true final boss (the Heart of the Spire). Beating the Heart with each character is an achievement.

Such a busy night at work. If this last person actually shows up, we'll be at 15% occupancy.
